For a budget like that I'd be looking at Gumtree etc and hope to stumble accross one that's been looked after and the owner has had it for a decent length of time. The fact that the dealer can't even be arsed to clean that shit heap up before photographing it should tell you all you need to know.

I think this is the most sensible suggestion. Out of pure incredulity that that shitbox was the best on offer I had a quick look at autotrader and pretty much every MPV 7 seater at that price is either a non-runner or is an MRSA risk.

I'd wager privately that'd b a £500 car with a bit of cheek attached, but he also wants to get shot of his A-class (which is tatty, too) and traders are convenient from that standpoint. eBay/AT tatty A Class privately. Do same in reverse to source new 7 seater shitter. Done.

Surely he'd get more for his own car flogging it privately than a specialist 'budget' trader anyway. At this price point a couple of hundred quid extra for him to spend wouldn't go amiss..
