The whole story is really interesting.GG. wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:33 pm Even more pedantically, Porsche SE has >50% of the voting rights but only 30% of the economic interest in the VAG group. In addition, I believe the structure was only permitted to give Porsche SE de facto voting control as VAG management were appointed to management positions in Porsche SE to control the board. The actual Porsche AG company which makes the cars is a subsidiary of VAG as Rev notes! Slightly mind bending.

One things for sure, this thing has more twists and turns than the Pike Peak hillclimb.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:06 pm Interesting take on the Bill and Royal Prerogative: https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2019/09/ ... s-consent/
I wouldn't want to call the outcome as when you think it's dead along comes something else that effects a direction change.
At this point I would rule out Martial law!

They're both fucking bullshit.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I was walkin' down the Downing street
Concentratin' on votin' right
I heard a dark voice beside of me
And I looked round in a state of fright
I saw four faces one mad
A brother from the Tory Party
They looked me up and down a bit
And turned to each other
I say
I don't like Parliament, oh no
Etc

They’re now starting to talk about the House of Lords more, they could slow the whole thing down and almost bring it to a stall there’s no feeling about the house being reported though, I.e. do they want to get on with this or do they want to stall it for their own interests.

GE tabled by Boris for Tuesday 15th October. Pro-Brexit MP’s have tabled over 100 amendments for the no deal Brexit bill to try and scupper it through the House of Lords.
On it goes, more next week I guess, I can’t see this being resolved this week.

Peers, not MPs. It’s passed the HoC so MPs can’t amend it now.Orange Cola wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:12 pm GE tabled by Boris for Tuesday 15th October. Pro-Brexit MP’s have tabled over 100 amendments for the no deal Brexit bill to try and scupper it through the House of Lords.

How the fuck is TM’s deal back on the table? Why is it on the table? Why didn’t the government even count the votes on the Kinnock amendment? Will this merry-go-round ever stop!?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:45 pmPeers, not MPs. Boris defeated three times in his first three votes. Unless he resigns, he’s seeing this through. Against his will and with no majority.
Great plan, Cummings.

HoL have so far voted on 8 of the 100+ amendments. The BBC says the Lords plan to sit round the clock on a rota basis until all votes complete, which they estimate will take until Saturday afternoon and pass for Royal Assent on Sunday so it can become law on Monday before prorogation.

I guess they can’t be seen to be stopping it through laziness or formalities.
