It does, thank you! I had not seen anything on that at all yet. I guess Ocon wasn't in the running for that seat!

That was the article I read, it doesn't mention sacking AG. Nowt on the Sky F1 site yet and they are usually pretty accurate.NotoriousREV wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 8:43 am Hmm, linked story has been updated and now says Alfa have denied Ericsson is driving for them.
Re: No F1 thread?
If Ericsson is still contracted to Alfa as third driver then one of the other two has probably got the shits and they're worried it won't clear up by the weekend.

Yep, Kimi wasn’t well but is now fine to race. Pulling in Ericsson was a precaution.dan wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 9:17 am If Ericsson is still contracted to Alfa as third driver then one of the other two has probably got the shits and they're worried it won't clear up by the weekend.

Re: No F1 thread?
Surprised at that.
Re: No F1 thread?
Not surprised.
He's a solid second driver, able to pick up wins/serious points if Lewis doesn't.
And most importantly he doesn't threaten Lewis. Lewis works best when he feels happy and loved.
I think it's a good, safe choice (in terms of likelihood of being able to secure more drivers' and conductors' titles)
Re: No F1 thread?
It was the way Totto spoke about Ocon, I was sure he'd be in next year.DaveE wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 2:26 pmNot surprised.

Possibly but it’s been officially revealed as a leg injury Kimi picked up during the break.JonMad wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 4:16 pmHe was taking a shit?NotoriousREV wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 12:13 pmYep, Kimi wasn’t well but is now fine to race. Hulk losing his seat is only about 6 years overdue.

Gotta love the engine penalty rules, because Gasly has used his allowance that stays with the car and Albon will start his first race with red bull from the back of the grid

Re: No F1 thread?
As Coulthard says, it’s fucking stupid, they need a rethink. Why should the driver be punished and fans disappointed in this case? There needs to be another way of penalising the team I.e. docking constructors points.jamcg wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 7:41 pm Gotta love the engine penalty rules, because Gasly has used his allowance that stays with the car and Albon will start his first race with red bull from the back of the grid
