Small update (car related)

Post by exiges »

Borrowed a DB11 for a 3/4 weeks, hated it at first, but it grew on me. How can a car so damn long be so cramped with no bootspace ?! That said, kids fit in the back fine. Car sounded lovely but was pretty slow tbh.

Volvo XC90 gone, now tooling around in a pimped up Range Rover Sport Hybrid.

That is all.

Was the DB11 an AMR version? Seems like that resolved some of the issues of the original, although obviously not interior space.
Cheers,

Blimey, slow with 500bhp? Not keen on in black TBH.

I guess everything is relative. 240bhp/tonne isnt going to feel particularly epic after your last Ford GT.

Yep that's worse power to weight than my 10 year old 911. Damn sight more torque though I'd bet.

The DB11 weighs over 2 tonnes?

ETA: it's a V12 with 600bhp too, isn't it?

V8 turbot and V12 versions are available. Still - 260hp/tonne looks closer to reality.

Yep, AMR version. Sounded the business, but not much oomph

285 bhp/tonne for the V8, 320 for the V12.

ETA: 337bhp/tonne for the AMR. I think David is fondly remembering his Audixige.

My googling skills need honing - I can't even find where I got >2000kg from.
