Re: Evija?
The existence of this thread would prove otherwise
Re: Evija?
I'm sure they've build one(ish) still, if you want crazier than 1500bhp Chiron then that's the next step.
Re: Evija?
Lego have built a full scale working electric Chiron but like the Evija, it won't do 0-200km/h in 9s.
Re: Evija?
As the entire thing is a work of fiction, why don't we go ahead and just make it a nice even 1000, and a free unicorn with every purchase?
Re: Evija?
I don't think they'll manage 0-100km/h in 9s, so it's moot.

Re: Evija?
The only 'real' Devel sixteen is the one in a couple of supercar blonde videos where it sits idling outside a hotel and drives off at 5mph after you've had a look at an interior any garage build kitcar owner would be ashamed to admit was their own work and another where it does maybe 20mph driving through the desert with the steering wheel at a 45degree angle on a straight road
Cheers, Harry
Re: Evija?
Sounds like a plan to scam oligarchs and sheiks out of LARGE CASH DEPOSITS for little more than the cost of a fibreglass bodied rolling chassis, some floorspace at some motorshows and some table scraps for instagram influencers - who are either in on the scam and not declaring that it's paid promotion, or (and honestly this is more likely) just too flat out stupid to know the difference between a rough-as-badgers concept car and something that has a chance of even being made.
Re: Evija?
Well that’s just about the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. Probably what the devil’s cock looks like.
The steering wheel is actually at 45 degrees going in a straight line

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Evija?
The engine sounds shit as well. It sounds like a big diesel starting up and then a big capacity V8 that's not running right the rest of the time.
An absolute unit
Re: Evija?
After the recent turbulent events at Lotus you’d think they’d want to be launching an attainable, might actually see production, model of a new Esprit rather than more fanciful plans that don’t match reality.

Re: Evija?
Surely Lotus have had their most success with the Elise. A proper new one of them would be good, not an extreme track day one or a 911 competitor.
Something between an Mx5 and a boxster in cost, but lighter and faster.

And battery powered? Because then it wouldn't be an Elise.Rich B wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:31 pm Surely Lotus have had their most success with the Elise. A proper new one of them would be good, not an extreme track day one or a 911 competitor.

Maybe electric, maybe a little turbo’d petrol, but i don’t see why a battery version couldn’t be called an Elise?ShockDiamonds wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:32 pmAnd battery powered? Hasn't it been done once already? Not called an Elise, I accept.Rich B wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:38 pmMaybe electric, maybe a little turbo’d petrol, but i don’t see why a battery version couldn’t be called an Elise?ShockDiamonds wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:32 pmAnd battery powered?
