Since 'we' now run the forum, please can we have some elected moderators or some such thing, to delete the fucking spam bots etc?

Not looking to have censorship police or anything like. Just have a few regulars to clean out the junk, etc.

Well I've restricted registrations now, so that's fixed the issue with spammers, and the forum doesn't show up in any searches or anything so I doubt many are going to stumble by and try to join. If they do, they'll just have to wait until I can tick the box to complete their registration.

Ultimately, I'm more than happy to give anyone permission to delete posts. I'm not prepared to put my neck on the line to decide who that would be

I'd say you're pretty wrong on that count OC. Seeing as the evo forum was pretty much self regulating, and there's been no incidents here, I'd argue almost any current member could be trusted to be a moderator. I imagine you really wouldn't have to do much apart from admin work.
