My wife and daughter seemed bemused when I told them of this. Bloody heathens. Genius and you got a 911 so you win this week.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 9:42 pm I got it for £8008. I put that as my maximum bid because it spells BOOB.

Re: New Car
Good thing he didn't put his highest bid at £8,008,135.
Re: New Car
My 8 year old son just got up, his face lit up with joy at the bid!Gavin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:54 amMy wife and daughter seemed bemused when I told them of this. Bloody heathens. Proof, were it required, that males are better.
Re: New Car
Madness. I love it
Feel like bringing it to Scotland with YK, myself and others in September?

Re: New Car
Bold move Rev, I approve.
TBH I kind of hope the engine shits itself an hour after you pick it up so you skip straight to the LS swap .

An absolute unit
Re: New Car
LS swap will cost upwards of 10 grand by all accounts, engine goes I would be breaking the car tbh
Re: New Car
Yeah, I imagine an LS swap would be best left for people with a proper attention span! Fingers crossed it’s just a bit of tarting up needed!

Re: New Car
Can we make that at least 3.5 hours? I’d like to get it home, at least!

OK, confirmed that I'll be collecting it on Wednesday. My train gets into Reading at 11:10 so if SJ, JonMad etc. are around and want to come and point and laugh, let me know .

Re: New Car
A taxi from the station will probably take ten minutes, so you'll be there about 11:30 ?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:30 am OK, confirmed that I'll be collecting it on Wednesday. I'm in Aldermaston during the day, about 20 mins away, so I can pop over to do a quick bit of pointing & laughing.
If you're wanting lunch, The Cunning Man would be a good call. Just a couple of minutes away.

An £8k 996 C4 which can be driven home. Nice, and never mind a few marks here and there

Yep, that sounds like a good plan. Re: New Car
Does anyone have any recommendations for Porsche-friendly 2nd car (i.e. no NCB) insurers? Admiral are coming up as the cheapest on the Meerkat at £735 at the moment. My 10 years NCB only gets £200 off that, for comparison.
