Hasn't Paddy Lowe been out of the team since before the start of the season? This is just official severing of ties.jamcg wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 11:06 am Paddy Lowe leaving Williams with immediate effect, wonder if that means Williams slipping further back?
I wonder what kind of non disclosure agreement he has, waiting to see if he slags them off as useless and not listening to him

Yep, he was used as the scape goat when the car wasn’t made ready on time for the pre-season test.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
He has, but it’s not to say he hasn’t been consulted On in an informal capacity, as he was still an employee- now he’s officially separated, it might make some difference. Also now no longer employed by Williams is he now free to comment on them in the media?duncs500 wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 12:14 pmHasn't Paddy Lowe been out of the team since before the start of the season? He’ll almost certainly have signed a 2-way non-disparagement agreement.jamcg wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:22 pmHe has, but it’s not to say he hasn’t been consulted On in an informal capacity, as he was still an employee- now he’s officially separated, it might make some difference. It's good to see McLaren at the right end of the grid but man that was a boring race. Ferrari, get your shit together! I'd sack Vettel for Riccardo. And well done 6-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

I think at his current rate he can claim it not too long after the summer break, potentially around two thirds of the way through. Kind of makes me want the budget cap and I’m a Hamilton fan!

Re: No F1 thread?
Not sure how much a budget cap would help, Ferrari and Red Bull are on a similar budget to Mercedes and clearly aren’t using that money as efficiently. Too much pizza and red bull stopping their brains working.

I do wonder whether we will see Alonso back next year. He is not a man who is prone to mistakes and I wonder how close the fight might have been last year with Alonso in the Ferrari v Hamilton in the Merc! When Alonso was in the Italian team, they made a few errors but he didn't from memory.
I suspect it won't happen but he did a second stint with McLaren so who knows.

Re: No F1 thread?
Won't he be trying to engineer himself into the right car to complete the hat trick of FI champ, Indy and Le Mans winner. From memory that would be a unique set of gongs.Gavin wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:24 am I do wonder whether we will see Alonso back next year. Would be in the modern era Graham Hill did it) but after not qualifying this year I wonder f he is going to look again at what he wants. He may well end up doing a full season of Indycar if he can get into a decent team though.PaulJ wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 3:28 pmWon't he be trying to engineer himself into the right car to complete the hat trick of FI champ, Indy and Le Mans winner. He’ll just get huffy, make terrible decisions and end up in a shit car.Gavin wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 3:54 pmWould be in the modern era Graham Hill did it) but after not qualifying this year I wonder f he is going to look again at what he wants. Ferrari spend more than Mercedes, Red Bull are spending $100 million less than Ferrari.Mito Man wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:25 pm Not sure how much a budget cap would help, Ferrari and Red Bull are on a similar budget to Mercedes and clearly aren’t using that money as efficiently. Well there you go. I think Williams have one of the bigger budgets within the midfield teams too

Those budgets are ridiculous.
What happened to "Race on Sunday, sell on Monday"?
Now it must be "You have to sell on Monday so we can afford to go racing on Sunday"
