The accents didn't annoy me TBH - another surprise as I'm from the correct side of the Pennines and have been conditioned to know that everything to the West of them is wrong and backward

I’m watching the old Motortrend Head to Head episodes as they’re being shown on the Discovery channel now and it’s a nice change as the Yanks don’t seem to be as concerned about lap times - A common theme so far seems to be that the car which is slower is usually the one you’d rather own. As they say you can’t lose with either car.

Although saying that Chris did prefer the 600LT but I still find it odd that they put it up against the Pista.
How about not having a sig at all?

I really enjoyed the whole show. Miles better than expected, best topgear for years.

Not many belly laughs but plenty of chuckles.

As has been said, hopefully they've not just picked the one good episode to put on first.
Cheers, Harry

Ferrari seem to be over their spat with Chris. But is Chris over it?

They seem to have gelled really well. Flintoff was more entertaining than I had expected too. It’s laddish stuff between them but not too stupid and dumbed down. A good start for me.

Well as much as I was expecting it to be rubbish, I actually quote enjoyed it to be honest. A bit rough around the edges but the first installment was always going to be.

I thought Paddy's little pep talk to Harris to make the final push to the sulfur mines was hilarious...

I still reserve the right to stop watching when Paddy either:

a. Says "400hp - that'll ding dang do for me!!" or similar

or

b. Makes a "Take me Out" style reference such as "Let the stripped back lightweight Supercar see the track!"

but I'll tune in next week :)

I think he knows this is a prime opportunity for him to get away from that image and get into more serious (and lucrative) roles.

Unfortunately for him he's always going to be weighed down by the boat anchor that is his hilariously broad Bolton accent.

Pretty average Top Gear episode. When they did the handling test with electric shocks I thought that two races in those cars was too much, and then they went and did a third. The Tesla piece was pretty good. SIARFC was a waste of time, as always. But despite the poor content this week, I still think these three are working well together as a presenting team.
