Finished The Virtues last night. Some brilliant acting all round but Stephen Graham topped them all.

Watched episode 1 of Chernobyl after. WFH today so will probably finish it today

Aye, I had a bit of a Shane Meadows night last night. Finished The Virtues then watched This is England.

The Virtues was heavy going at the end but it was brilliant. I might watch the This is England series over the weekend.

Had the same idea of watching This is England too, think it was advertised before or after. I’ve seen them all before but the gf hasn’t, I could happily watch them all again.

Good news! The Russians are remaking Chernobyl where a CIA spy caused the accident. 😁

Finally got round to the new black mirror - the first one (Miley Cyrus one) is like a shit teen movie, hopefully they’ll get back to normal standard...

Is your black mirror in a different order? We've just watched episode 1, (Striking Vipers) and no Miley Cyrus. According to IMDB that's the third and last one in the series.

my Mrs pressed the buttons, if it’s the 3rd not the first, I’d suggest stopping after 2!

I thought that all the Black Mirrors were good, and Miley was brilliant in it.

Edit: tbf I like shit teen movies though.

I thought Miley Cyrus was very good in her episode, but it was the "penny dropping" moment about the Nine Inch Nails songs which made me smile the most.
Cheers,

Mike.

Been really enjoying Gentleman Jack.

Much more light hearted than a lot of what I’ve been watching recently but it still has the odd shocking moment.

I've only recently got into this - 11 episodes of Season 1 in. It's very addictive, but bloody hell do they ever throw the kitchen sink at it in terms of story arcs and cliffhangers!! Poor fuckers doing the music score must be knackered 'dramatic again eh? On it'

Started S3 the other day. It's my 'on in the background whilst stripping wallpaper' watch, and it doesn't matter so much if I don't watch it closely.

Wait until you get to the finale of Season 2. It is *EPIC* in every possible terrible way imaginable. You'll see why quick enough I bet.

I was like this with The Good Wife and Sons of Anarchy - on in the background whilst I was working. Good telly.

Enjoyed the end of S1 of Umbrella Academy after a brief 'meh' half way through.
Next on the list - Russian Doll

 not surprising, that went some weird places...
As ever it'll probably be another three months before my brain is capable of absorbing another Black Mirror episode. I've about seventeen to catch up on.
