BMW Recall
Re: BMW Recall
How did the fact that there was a car stopped on the road cause that poor chap to die in his Fiesta?
The consequences are only the same as an alternator fault which drains the battery. Car stops with no lights on, as if it were parked. Yes, recall affected cars but I don't think Merc are recalling the C-classes with the dodgy taillight wiring which sets them on fire.

Re: BMW Recall
it goes back to the “being able to stop in the distance you can see”. It shouldn’t matter if there is even a big spiky wall in the middle of the road.Jobbo wrote: Wed May 09, 2018 2:21 pm How did the fact that there was a car stopped on the road cause that poor chap to die in his Fiesta?

Re: BMW Recall
Pretty sure that there’s a warning triangle in the boot of the bmw, some one should sue the driver for not putting it out behind the car.

Re: BMW Recall
After seeing a C-Class at the weekend burnt to a crisp near the A3@Godalming reminded me of this thread. I wonder if it was a victim of the tailight wiring thing.Jobbo wrote: Wed May 09, 2018 2:21 pm How did the fact that there was a car stopped on the road cause that poor chap to die in his Fiesta?
