ste wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 2:16 pm SENCO is an absolute piece of piss BTW. Being admin to that, I can't even begin to understand what she'd need to administrate..? I wrote a guidance doc about SENCO for schools to follow so they could administer the new regs a few years ago. I did it in a personal, not professional capacity as i realised they seemed to be struggling to deal with the change. If you google well enough I'm sure you'll find it.

I had the 'pleasure' of dealing with some SENCOs to get them to understand what they needed to do. They were one of the dimmest work shy bunch of people I've ever met. My conclusion was that it wasn't the change that was the problem, it was the morons that were being asked to deliver it.

I'm sure there are exceptions of course. I bet the person your wife sharpens pencils for is ace.
Amid all this bullshit, we agree (no, she's far from ace). Perhaps why this is why the admin role exists at all, but in my wife's case her 'boss' is fucking useless and cannot apparently plan anything. Parents turn up for meetings nobody are aware of, papers go missing, the special concessions these children have all seem to be planned at the very last minute, the boss needs to be chased continuously for this, that and the other etc.

My beef is you seemingly trivialising their role in school lock downs, which is utter bullshit.

I just want to point out that after all the years I've spent on the internet, this is quite the most unusual reason for an online punch-up I have ever witnessed. I doff my cap to you all. Continue.

What I want to know is, drill or no drill, is Oxfordshire a deprived area or not?

Which isn't something I did. I didn't mention their role in them even one tiny bit.

I assumed there must've been something outside of this thread.

Both of them need a bit of time in the quiet room if they're getting this wound up about school fire drills .
An absolute unit
