Harry’s Garage
Re: Harry’s Garage
Harry at Geneva. Plenty of cars and industry news in this video that I didn't see else where.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Just got round to watching this. Who am I to question the great Lord M, but I'm fairly sure that's not how you pronounce "valkyrie".

Alfa girl....
Sorry back on topic, that Aurus Senat I've seen testing out in Russia and it's had an seriously extended gestation for something that (very deliberately) looks like a Phantom and maybe has a fair bit of Phantom underneath.
They get away with it because the Senat is the official Russian presidential limousine, and you don't take away Vlad's toys under any circumstance.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Watched his latest one last night. If his constant wanking over the project 8 annoys you, it's probably best to avoid it. It's the worst one yet .
An absolute unit
Re: Harry’s Garage
So my initial response "oh will you get to fuck with that godawful fucking Project 8 cuntwagon that you won't stop incessantly wanking over" could be described as "on target" then

Re: Harry’s Garage
A limited run car car costing more than twice as much as a bog standard mass produced one being more communicative and a little quicker shocker.
A quad plus some coilovers, a remap and some stiffer bushes would still leave you £80k for another plaything. You could even spend £200 for a shit wing off eBay to glue on the back.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I still love the Project 8. Esp in purple with gold wheels. More because you lot hate it in fact
Re: Harry’s Garage
I don't hate it, Harry's constant IT'S THE BEST CAR EVA!!!111!!11!!!!!1111 patter is pretty dumb though.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Purple's fine, gold wheels aren't brilliant but the silver Jaguar outline on the side is fucking awful. Nearly as bad as the wing. And Harry, it's not an excuse to say it's functional; it could be functional and styled to look much less Max Power.speedingfine wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 9:45 am I still love the Project 8. Re: Harry’s Garage
This bit is good, the rest of it is awful and I REALLY want Harry, who I normally fawn over, to stop going on about it!

They’ve proposed the classic “one make race series” to shift them.integrale_evo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:25 am Have they still got a load they can't sell or something?

Re: Harry’s Garage
Are you suggesting that trying to sell a tarted up not-as-good-as-BMW small saloon car for a 6 figure sum is proving difficult?integrale_evo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:25 am Have they still got a load they can't sell or something?

Liked that Lancia video, cool car and a great story. Managed to do a video without mentioning the project 8 once as well .

Re: Harry’s Garage
All of this That story was lovely wasn't it. I really hope he now restores the car to the colour it should be to box off the whole history.
Also considering it's a 1972 car, a lot of things were impressive:
1. Discs all round with 4-pots up front;
2. Electric windows;
3. That super-cool electric rear hatch;
4. The performance - 120 mph and 8.5 seconds is not shabby at all!
5. 5-speed 'box.
Really rather nice.

Re: Harry’s Garage
They are cool cars, there's a lancia specialist near here and quite often see a red one zipping about.
I knew they had a v4, but had no idea it was a vw VR style tight angle single head design, then canted over to one side. I just assumed they were a traditional upright open V. Engine had loads of character, sounded pretty awful at low speed but lovely at full chat
I might have missed it in the story, but how does he know that was the car he saw as a lad? The garage only ever registered one and none others from anywhere else could possible have passed the area

Fair point, and I was thinking the same. I then thought if he wants it be the same one that much, then let him have this one.integrale_evo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 10:48 amI might have missed it in the story, but how does he know that was the car he saw as a lad? Re: Harry’s Garage
I'm guessing he checked and sawthat the guy's name was mentioned in the car's documents?
