Porsche 992 Review

Post by Sundayjumper »

I was invited to the Porsche 992 preview at Guildford Porsche this evening. Loads of fizzy wine available - sadly I was driving - but absolutely nothing to bring home. No brochures or anything. The best I could do was this, and they weren’t even giving them out, I pinched it from the reception desk !

I get invited to these by Porsche West London despite buying nothing more than some number plates from them

Sadly it is always at 5pm on a weekday so the chances of me making it are precisely zip. No idea why they don't do it on a Saturday or a least a Friday night.

That’s better than the bottle of BMW water I got recently. Dealership launches really suck now, when I was a youth they handed out keyrings, caps, model cars. Got a fountain pen and ballpoint set from Mini, Alfa gave a wallet which was very nice but fell apart after a month of use - I thought it was very appropriate for them.

I was astounded at the number of Chavs in tracksuits in the BMW dealership in Blackheath when I took the e90 in for a service. Didn't exactly make me think I had prestige product

Then again, I guess that's just London for you.
