Ooh, I watched The Dawn Wall. Brilliant.

Alan Partridge wasn't great last night :(

White Gold season 2. Cars and the soundtrack are judged perfectly.

I’ve been trying to watch Twin Peaks

I’m like 6 episodes in and I’ve decided I don’t like it

I think it’s too old for me. Too slow paced. All the characters look the same. It’s boring.

Which is a shame, because I enjoy the idea of it. I love how weird it is. I think the story is interesting. And the characters are too. But it doesn’t suit my ADD tendencies.

Has anyone been watching Home on Channel 4 after Derry Girls? I think it’s brilliant. Funny but also really touching. Great writing by Rufus Jones, and Youssef Kerkour is brilliant as Sami.

Except for the chrome bumper trim and plate font on the Mk2 GTI

Watched the first episode of Billions season 4

Looks like it’s going to be another good series of basically the same stuff again, which is pretty much what I want

After Life

I can take or leave Gervais, haven't seen any of Derek prior to this, but did enjoy The Office and Extras. Thought I'd give this a whirl last night. Had me lolling fairly quickly with the playground scene. 2 in so far and it really is something you find yourself guffawing at one minute before being suckerpunched in the gut the next.

Watched the whole thing before but now taking the O/H through it as well. Fair to say she's fairly hooked on it.

Partridge. Still weak overall unfortunately , it has its moments (turbocharger bit was excellent), but it’s still jumped the shark in that it’s still supposed to be a bbc show that he’s co-presenting, not a show written and produced by him. It spoils it as it makes him totally unbelievable.

I really enjoyed Partridge last night. I was waiting in anticipation for the lips reveal and it didn’t disappoint.

Me too. I don't get the criticism it's been getting - it's classic Partridge. I suspect it's because the character's developed since it was last on the BBC and most people haven't seen any of what he's done inbetween.

Pleased it was better than the last episode, I thought the Monty Don thing was especially weak.

The smooth running shelves in the British library would fascinate all of us and you all know it, though perhaps not sexually 😂

see that’s what I have a problem with, yes it is believable that AP would be fascinated with the shelves, but no its not believable that the cut would be left in the prerecorded article piece for “this time”. Every time it cuts to a prerecorded section it just jumps the shark and gets silly.

The “live” in the studio bits work far better, the back and forth with the reporter outside parliament was spot on.

It was better than last weeks on reflection.

I know what you mean, and it's something The Day Today would never do but I decide to give it a pass as and when it's funny ;)

Yes - best episode so far. In fact best since 'I'm Alan Partridge'
