The complete opposite - hes got one of the absolute best 2 seats in F1 - if he’s not good enough to win from there then it’s no one else’s fault. I feel far more sorry for the potential best ever driver who’s stuck in a shit car through bad luck/bad connections/etc..duncs500 wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2019 11:31 amYeah, yeah, we know you don't feel sorry for anyone successful Rich.Rich B wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:53 ami don’t really, if he was as good or better than LH then he has been given the rare opportunity to prove it. Who said it was anyone else's fault? It must be frustrating to think you've finally nailed something and then the same guy that always beats you does it again.
Anyway, it was just a throw away comment, miserable git.

I’m never a big fan of being told what I think, but I thought we were chatting about F1?! I’m cool with that!

Good to see Mclaren improving.
Re: No F1 thread?
I didn't really feel sorry for Button or Roberg either. They were able to beat Hamilton, when things were going their way (which is the nature of F1, you need momentum and sometimes luck on your side)Rich B wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:53 ami don’t really, if he was as good or better than LH then he has been given the rare opportunity to prove it. Another year and Albert Park is still a garbage track.
Re: No F1 thread?
I'm lost as to why Ferrari didn't box Leclerc and go for fastest lap.
Mildly entertaining in the context of the Aussie GP, looking forward to better tracks. Very tight in the midfield!

Re: No F1 thread?
That was very disappointing that Leclerc wasn't allowed free rein, great to see Bottas wanting to hammer the point (literally) home.
Re: No F1 thread?
Just ffwd this whilst having my breakfast - thought something was amiss with Bottas being so far ahead, a quick look at the news later and it’s clear Hamilton clouted his floor on a kerb and shagged the undertray.
Also clicked another link where the drivers said the new wings made no difference to following - Adrian Newey said that would be the case when it was suggested on day 1 so I’m surprised the FIA ignored it.

I nearly wrote a post yesterday saying I disagreed with what people were saying about Bottas and I thought he had come out fighting (Top in Q1 & Q2) and that he seemed more on it than usual. I would have looked like a hero today if I had. He’s laid down a marker. This could be a tense season. Let’s see if he and Lewis are still as friendly mid-season.
Kubica shouldn’t be in an F1 car, should he?

Bottas has come back a “new” person, just look at that beard. I’ll give it until Canada for him to realise he’s mediocre and return to the support gunner.
Kubica’s a bit surprising as he was lapping as quickly as Massa during testing sessions a few years ago wasn’t he? Would love to see his contract to see what performance clauses they have on both sides - as it stands he’s equally as shit as his team.

Not all heroes wear capes.
