Other than the usual comparison sites, who else is recommended for insurance please.

My 3 are insured separately through Hastings, Bennets and The AA, but I found them via the usual bike comparison sites so it's a pretty decent place to start. Old gits = cheap bike insurance anyway, if it helps

This was my day yesterday, escorting a founding member of Norfolk Blood Bikes and his family to his funeral in Cambridge. Our entire fleet turned out, as you might expect, along with bikes from the neighboring Cambs & Suffolk group.



On Monday a couple of us book-ended another funeral escort for a well known local biker, which was interesting for the wrong reasons. I was up front behind the Harley hearse and family limo, and my partner was bringing up the rear. In between us we had 70 bikes mostly revving the tits off their machines as we did the 25 min ride. A group of "experienced marshalls" - ha! - from somewhere or other had decided to take on traffic duty, which mostly meant tear arsing about on the wrong side of the road and making dangerous overtakes. Up to and including riding in between the hearse and the family car, and one of them pulled a wheelie past the whole lot.

He's next I reckon.

I think it’s time to change my tyres after 8000 miles. There’s still plenty of tread but they’re visibly squared off now and the front is starting to resist going over white lines and banding etc.

They’re Pirelli Angel GTs and I’ve really liked them but wondering whether to go PR5 next just to try them. Cue Beany-style overthinking.

I’m going to make Dinny suggestion but could you get a set of the PR5’s, try them out and if you don’t prefer them, get the originals and keep the PR5 for an emergency spare??

It's awful isn't it. I'm a tyre obsessive at the best of times but way worse when it comes to bikes. Metzeler Racetecs ftw out here but what do you boys prefer with weather and shitty roads etc?

Edit - 200 quid a back tyre for the Bimmer and they can be shot in 2k kms.

I have PR5 on the Tracer, so far so impressed, good dry grip, loads of confidence, and fine in damp conditions (haven't really been caught in nasty weather on the Tracer, by some miracle).
