Read all about it! Liam Fox is busy taking back control by giving it away in ISDS clauses in trade deals. Just another way that Brexit can screw over Britain.

Why? They’re the same type of unprincipled neo-libs who walked us into this mess.
You’ve just proven my point, it’s got to change.

I agree things need to change. I don’t see how the independent group are going to effect it though, as I said they’re the same type of politicians who got us here. Blairite labour and centrist tories.

I wish that was true. Imagine, an MP voting on the best interests of their constituents instead of along party lines.

My bet, now that it's being discussed openly in the press, is that we won't leave on 29/3. Realistically I don't see a deal being passed in that time, as I don't see any way to make May's deal palatable to MPs without a large change in Brexit direct.

No-one wants a No-deal, despite May leaving it 'on the table' (it is of course the default action if nothing else changes).

Just say 'sod it' and go EFTA+EU customs union and minimise the damage.

Here in sunny Farnham, we (UNBELIEVABLY) voted remain. Sadly Jeremy Hunt, our local MP, totally ignores that and tows the party line...

What is the correct approach for an MP who’s constituency voted remain?

Looking more and more likely - May and Tusk discussing the options / impacts of delaying Art 50 today apparently...

Labour are going to back a 2nd ref if their motion to whatever fails this week (which it will).

Here we fucking go...

And it'll apparently include a remain option.

That'll be the cat among the pigeons then...

No doubt they’ll call for a GE, another vote of no confidence and anything else they can possibly think of to try and sabotage the whole thing too...

Finally!

What do they need to do to get the second ref? Does it need passed by parilment or can they decide to do it on their own?

I used to be of the opinion that the outcome of the second ref should be honoured, but the more this goes on and the worse it gets putting it back to the public seems the only thing to do now.

It’s not a straight forward “we want a second referendum”, they need to get enough backing to table the motion and then to actually vote it through. Once that’s done they’ll need at least 22 weeks (based on the last study) to get a referendum set up and get to vote day. Where are we now, 1st March at the end of the week so if a second referendum goes ahead it’ll be the autumn before we get the result.

Best thing is for May to ask for an extension, Europe says yes provided it’s an extension to 2021 (as per recent reports) and
Labour table their motion for a second referendum in parallel thus presenting the quickest and easiest option out this mess to try and coax enough people to vote for remain.

I don’t think labour have got it in them to not fuck this up though.

Plus the entire leave vote will leave Labour in opposition for years to come. So remain and a Tory government for perpetuity. A win-win!

Every day there's an announcement of yet more consequences that nobody thought about, yet nobody on government seems to acknowledge it. I cannot for the life of me understand how they think they're doing a good job.
