I don't *think* the woods at the end of my garden (on my property) are used by doggers...

Which reminds me of the time my friend and I were taking night time car photos (of my CX-5) in a car park a few miles away (exact location available on request). Lots of people kept coming to the car park, loitering, then driving off. Must have been the flashing lights.

That aside, not a bad plan. I can go for a walk if there's anything left of it and deposit it in/near the fields near us, away from our house.

Get naked to, don't wash or brush your teeth for a while so your natural scent comes through and then lie in wait.

When you see the hunter corner it, dominate it, bite it on the back of the neck and then slowly walk off with its kill between your teeth, make sure to show your back to it so as to show you are not concerned by its presence.

Its the only way.

Or just leave it, whatever brought it there will be back for it. I imagine it was a fox that got spooked and is waiting to come back under cover of darkness.

Well, this happened. I moved it up into the trees out of sight from the house. Went last night to see if it was still there and no sign at all. Quite relieved as I wasn't really looking forward to picking up now slightly decomposed animal carcass and stuffing it in my or someone else's bin or wandering into the woods with it.

So, turns out, nature continued to do what nature does.
No doggers spotted.
