The opening is small and it seemed much smaller next to my C class when comparing at the dealer. Also the useable space was poor in comparison for all my work stuff. From this I formed my opinion and am quite happy with it.

It’s clearly not “next to useless” though, is it? It’s got a slightly awkward opening and is slightly smaller than the opposition, at worst.

So the boot was too small so you then leased a hatchback with an even smaller boot? Have you got Shockdiamonditis?
How about not having a sig at all?

I got the 1 series because of the engine and bollocks to the practicality but it's more than adequate with a large opening and decent useable space.

In terms of ranking, the Maserati GranCabrio is next to useless, the F50 completely useless, and the Senna doesn't even rate a mention. The Giulia QF is almost spacious in comparison.

Always loved the luggage space on the F1. I believe it’s the same the other side too.

When I went from the 155 to the 166 I had to get a smaller pushchair because the boot opening was significantly smaller despite the slightly larger boot.

HTH.

I guess what I was failing to explain is my opinion that practicallity with regards to the boot on an Alfa Romeo is a long way down the priority list. Ergonomics for anyone who doesn't have a long back and short legs is probably gash too.

Ooh, I have a long back and short legs... that's about the first time it's been a positive thing. :)
