Oof! Valkyrie content...

Post by duncs500 »

Carfection engine geek fest.

I'd kind of forgotten about this car, but it will be amazing. 8-)

The pursuit of perfection and input of a contemporary Formula 1 designer gives it the feel of a modern day McLaren F1 project.

Plus the similarities in engine size and configuaration - just shows what progress has been made since the early 90s!

I saw this too

I'm not sure I like how the engine sounds, but I'm reserving final judgement.

To me it sounded a little buzzy and drill-like...

Should we get them to cancel the entire project? This seems the only logical outcome after some internets have heard the engine sound recorded on a handheld camera, compressed and then played through - at a guess - laptop speakers

What?! :)

Just saying it like I hear it - I've heard better (on a bench, recorded on a handheld camera, played back through laptop speakers)

I also said I was reserving judgement - so don't cancel the project just yet JL - I may still buy one.

A good comment by [someone] above comparing it to the F1 though (in terms of focus, engineering, some of the mechanicals etc)

Maybe it'll sound better once it's installed in a car with the induction/exhaust sounds combining (in ways they probably aren't on the dyno)

I'm afraid it's too late. When I see a fellow forumite in distress, I pounce on the problem like an eagle on a trout. The project is DEAD and everyone involved in it has been SHOT.

Excellent. Now can you do the same for that silly AMG project one that looks like a fish too, that'd be great - ta.
