Spotted a new one for a me, a 125d. A quick google shows why, when launched it cost the same as the 135i but the 25d was a 4 pot.

"Forged con rods, a forged steel crank, lightweight pistons and multi-stage turbocharging are among the highlights. The net result is a hefty 221bhp and 332lb ft, sufficient to propel the 125d from 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds."

I was followed by an Aston Vantage today in Sundayjumper silver, which was in turn followed by a Ford Mustang V8 convertible.

Gent down the road from me has replaced his W210 E320CDi with a Bentley Arnage (to complement his Lotus Carlton). He spent well over a week completely redoing his drive to be able to fit both cars on it, including concreted in locking metal posts.

The Bentley is frankly ridiculously large. It can just about fit on the drive and makes the Carlton look positively dainty by comparison.

Today, from the files of "I don't think you understand how aerodynamics work was an A4 Estate that, as well as the factory fit spoiler on the back, over the hatch had one mounted just below the rear window.

No picture as I was laughing too much.

Reliant Rialto complete with air scoop in the bonnet and a huge rear wing. Don’t know what engine is in but it certainly sounds meaty and has a V8 badge on the back!

That looks quite good.

Now twist that down 70 degrees and make the sides not touch the body while obviously looking like they should and you've got today's muppet.

I’d not realised they were so cheap. There’s one for £12.5k, and it’s my colour.

I expect a new car thread imminently (and not one about another Compact)...

I spotted a Jag Project 8 on the way home last night. I assume it was Harry's as it was heading towards his place and no-one else is mental enough to spend that much on an XE.

The new wheels look really good.

Saw an orange Evoque with the roof down - someone was trying a bit too hard to look cool...

Also just took pics of this Porsche as it was wearing a set of the opinion splitting Fuchs discussed in the other thread. I thought the whole car looked nice but don’t know much about old 911s. It’s probably a mis-mash of parts bolted on a base model :?

Its one of these:

So yes, a bitsa 964 in reality.

I hate the 'aero' wingmirrors on those (and anything else for that matter), not really a fan of the bumpers either. The engine cover louvres also seem unusually bulbous but I don't know if that's just the blurry photos.

So still worth a £silly amount?

Only thing I didn’t like too much was the sunroof.
