Impressive how she managed to damage 3 corners of the car on a post. Women do amaze me sometimesintegrale_evo wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:13 pm Step daughter has managed to bounce her lupo off a sign post, nice post shaped dent in the rear 1/4 , one corner of the front bumper scraped, both corners of the rear bumper stoved in, one wheel bent.
RAC gave it a quick once over and put the spare on which was cracked so she went and got a couple of new front tyres. I've just been out in the dark, cut a hole in the inner 1/4 and shoved as much of the dent out as I can, used a variety of levers and a block of wood to make the bumper corners curve the right way round again and clipped a couple of bits of trim back in![]()
Shame as it was a nice little car and still worth as much as we paid for it a couple of years ago.

Boiling water helps to make the plastic more malleable to get the last creases out
won’t people think of the trim tabs??!!?!
Probably fade it grey too - not sure I’d bother.jamcg wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 9:55 pmintegrale_evo wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:13 pm Step daughter has managed to bounce her lupo off a sign post, nice post shaped dent in the rear 1/4 , one corner of the front bumper scraped, both corners of the rear bumper stoved in, one wheel bent.

I remember an ex girlfriend, when I was a teenager, pouring boiling water over her drivers side window to get off tacky glue residue from a parking enforcement sticker and ending up with a salmon pink door on her red punto![]()
Was she doing this ?integrale_evo wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:13 pm Step daughter has managed to bounce her lupo off a sign post, nice post shaped dent in the rear 1/4 , one corner of the front bumper scraped, both corners of the rear bumper stoved in, one wheel bent.

Sundayjumper wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 3:28 pmHave you got screenshots of that, or a link ? Trailers are tricky devils when reversing, to know where the trailer's going to go the car must have known the dimensions of the trailer and had a way of measuring the angle between car & trailer. If you simply drive straight backwards the trailer will fairly quickly veer off to one side.ste wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 12:23 pm ...the reverse cam would account for the trailer and draw its reversing arcs taking the trailer into account...
Exactly this. Except for when it doesn't work. Last 2 times I've done one I've had a 'computer says no'. You then have to post the DVLA a paper form with exactly the same details as the online form, both V5s and A CHEQUE. That takes 10 days.JonMad wrote: Mon Dec 03, 2018 8:50 am *First time put back on something in 8 years. DVLA online service was seamless - much better than last time when I had to drive to a specific post office with a bunch of forms - maybe GDS are good for something.
