Re: Harry’s Garage
You can really see why they have got Harry involved - they’ll definitely sell some based on his videos with rich guys wanting to be part of the club.
Re: Harry’s Garage
I haven’t bothered watching any of the Harry M Jaguar videos, and I’m a Harry M fan.

Re: Harry’s Garage
This is the right decision.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Just looking at the old Project 7’s for sale now - they’ve all appreciated - fucking madness

Re: Harry’s Garage
There were loads of bits made out as special features or unique that are standard on pretty much everything.
The cold air intakes were a particular one. It took cold air from the central grille, turned 90 degrees to the air boxes before turning back to the centre of the car, then another right angle where they met and into the engine.
My metro had a cold air feed taking cool air from the gap between the bonnet and headlight feeding directly into the airbox feeding the mighty 1396cc 76bhp 8v engine
It also does the same awful farty exhaust gear changes that all current dct cars do, and pretty sure one of the runs it misshifts the second gearchange.

This angers me and I'd like the stupidity to end now.integrale_evo wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 3:34 pmIt also does the same awful farty exhaust gear changes that all current dct cars do

Re: Harry’s Garage
It's the fact it's EXACTLY THE SAME each time that gets me - yeah nice one, not fake at all.

Jags are definitely the worst for it. I hate the way the V8 F-Types sound. Just shouty and shit.

Literally every bit of this, in fact that's the exact car (or rather, engine) that I first think of when I decide to get all cross at this particular subject.NotoriousREV wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:01 pm Jags are definitely the worst for it. I hate the way the V8 F-Types sound. Just shouty and shit.
Re: Harry’s Garage
In one video about it he mentioned that the bonnet had to be specially redesigned to be able to go 200.1 mph with the wide vent and crap so it didn’t get ripped off at such extreme speeds. The old M5, M6, Audi RS6 just used the bog standard panel from their diesel variants and there’s no YouTube videos of delimited ones doing 200+ with bits of bodywork flying off...

@REV Haven't heard one do that though funnily enough I did hear one accelerate in-gear which sounded pretty awesome.
The worst I've personally heard seem to be the xx45 AMG Mercs.

This applies to all F types regardless of what engine they have.JLv3.0 wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:03 pmLiterally every bit of this, in fact that's the exact car (or rather, engine) that I first think of when I decide to get all cross at this particular subject.NotoriousREV wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:01 pm Jags are definitely the worst for it. yeah, a “small-swoopy-estate45AMG” gave it some beans away the other day and it just sounded embarrassing. Rev.....BANGGG!!!....Rev....BANGG!!!....GG. wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:04 pm @REV Haven't heard one do that though funnily enough I did hear one accelerate in-gear which sounded pretty awesome.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Isn’t the fart sound just what all double clutch cars do? Seems like anything automatic and vaguely quick nowadays farts. From SUVs to hatchbacks. It’s always the same fart sound too regardless of engine size, just a different volume.

Re: Harry’s Garage
My KTM has a quickshifter that cuts the ignition on gearchanges. Every now and again it makes an amazing bang that makes me laugh. If it did it every time it’d soon get old.

The 997 now makes a good level of crackles on the overrun but totally organic and very difficult to predict when it will do it.
On a cold day when the oil is warm but exhaust still cold it will also very occasionally make a proper crack as well if you shift on the redline.
Best part is I can flick a switch and have it whisper quiet again.
