I should like it, and I want to like it, but for some reason I just don't. It's not just the hideous front bumper either. :?
Cheers, Harry

having watched the first 5 minutes he does seem to be hamming it up that he was just an average punter coming across it out of nowhere whilst looking for a GT3... come on Harry. 😔

If it were priced in the ballpark of an M3 or C63S AMG then it would be a hell of a lot more interesting.

Jag Video annoyed me that the usually more aware HM did bang on about "Engine bay only meant for a four pot"

Apart from the production supercharged V6 that is using the same V8 block Harry....

I'll have mine with a normal bumper and sans wing thanks 8-)

Also the V6 is available with AWD in USA, so it's not like AWD with that big lump is new to the XE.

Also as I understand it the XE/XF platform was designed with the long, incoming Ingenium I6 in mind.

Maybe he's trying to appeal to nostalgia, mimicking the story of the XJ40 when they supposedly deliberately made the engine bay narrow to prevent the bosses at Austin Rover fitting the Rover V8 (like they middle management were going to pop out of their offices at lunchtime and crane in a V8 when no one was looking)?

Have there been any track tests of this against other cars in a similar price bracket? Feel like it would get thrashed just because Jaguar don’t really do track cars do they :?

I’m still struggling as to why you’d want to pay double the price of a GTR for a car that’s not quite as fast as a GTR?

Edit: and isn’t a GT3.

Perhaps because you don't want a GTR, but in fact, want a Project 8. I could be wrong though.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

People buying cars based on what they want, not the best top trumps card? It'll never catch on.

It’s left hand drive only as well in which case I’d have a wide body Hellcat and a GTR for going to Sainsbury’s. At least they don’t look like they’ve been attacked by a cheesegrater.

The SVO consultant was the one making comparisons to the GTR and GT3 though.

I just had a quick look at a top gear review from May and a SVO chap also compared it to the e46 M3 - they just seem to have spectacularly miss-priced it

who knows, but a max power edition Jag XE just doesn’t appeal against the competition imo.

Porsche GT3
Mclaren 570s
GTR and £60k change
Lambo Huracan
