After a bit more digging I could find a diagram that showed it would lie flat and under the frunk floor in a C4 and upright in a C2. I wonder if they phased it out in gen 2s part way through. Puzzling.
My 2003 986.2 Boxster had a spare wheel like Carlos's 996. Not sure I have a photo.

Yes.

Does it even have enough power to do that!? Presumably the DoggingFender you are on about?
In a million ways no, he may get 1 wheel make a chirp but thinking all 4 will spin is laughably wrong.

Unless he fitted front and rear difflocks, removed the traction control and then fitted pram wheels in an icy car park. Then yes, very believable.

Yeah it’s more of a 4 wheel chirp and then the TC kills it, shame mine doesn’t have a TC button, maybe that’s a final year thing they added as I have seen some with them. I should be able to get it mapped to 180-190 bhp with the upgraded parts. Then maybe I can get it to chirp in second.
How about not having a sig at all?

Winter's purchased for the 3 Series over the weekend

Image

Bought from a mate for £200 wheels included. Nankang M+S winters on them.

Garage project to build a new workbench finally happened last weekend. got a few winter jobs on the lotus to do which might mean the rear clam has to come off so wanted to sort that out.

Well pleased with the results. Need to get a vice for it next. I also want to get a wall box mount type thing for screws and washers ect and run a power trunking along the bench.

For new HIDs?

I hope you went for uprated Osram Xenarc Night Breaker versions? Similar price for more light.

I took the Touareg for a trip to Leytonstone yesterday to buy some disappointing wheels, and for the ~150 mile round trip the OBC said 31mpg. I'm not sure that's *good* but it's not too bad.

Sounds like it's a whole 3 or 4 mpg more than your 911 - think of all the money you've saved! ;)

Yup, they were recommended by a few folks, have you had them?

31 mpg is pretty amazing for a V10 diesel 4x4.

My 4 pot does 30.

Yep. Stuck them on the Evora after ScottA made me aware of their existence. Unquestionably brighter, and also gave me the impetus to adjust the beams up a smidge.

My diesel BMW estate car has returned a best of 35 MPG. I'm therefore struggling to understand any redeeming feature it has.

Dropped the rear end out of the old compact with the plan of cleaning it up and sticking my new bushes in and swapping them over.

Surprisingly easy, but the subframe is a bit crustier than I remembered, will see how it cleans up. May just use it as a practise run.

I had planned to leave the wheels on and just roll it out, but hadn't got it high enough

I think next time I'd take the diff out on its own first now I know the size and location of the bolts and rough idea of how tight they'll be.

And about 5mins later the arms and diff were off leaving the bare beam 8-)

Got the 911 back, the suspension is better, but it’s not transformed it the way I had hoped, think I need to play with the tyre pressures.. With the weather about to change it will no be off the road shortly to get some rust attended to over the winter.

Might buy a winter crapper, was looking at Renault Zoe’s last night

Have managed to pick up a fast slow-puncture on the rear right. Couldn't see a nail/screw or anything so have stuck the spare on and ordered up another pair of Continental PremiunContact 6's to match the front. For the first time in many years I'll no longer have Rain Sports on the car!

The factory pressures of 36/44 are way too high, but your Tuna ought to know that. Dropping 5psi all round will help, then take it from there.

Edit - that's for my C2, maybe your standard pressures are different.

Misfire this morning in the 330. Hmmm. Switched off and restarted and all ok again. Fingers crossed it's not a coil, and just a temporary blockage.

Can anyone remember what injector cleaner Flewy used to recommend? I had it in my head it was Forte, which is what I remember using years ago on my old French tat, as it supposedly broke any crud down gradually, rather than just breaking chunks off and potentially causing issues elsewhere.
