Nicely done!

I rode 110 miles on my S1000R yesterday through some interesting suffolk roads to my preferred Motorrad dealer, ate their sausages, drank their coffee, sat on their bikes and acquired a free hat. It was a good few hours.

We discovered there are places a 1200GS can't go - namely through a gap where a road had been closed but not quite closed enough, so we ended up arriving in two groups.

Yes, enjoying yourself is all well and good, but did you acheive a lean angle greater than 62 degrees?

I've put around 1000 miles on my CB500X now. Not sure I'll ever be able to push a motorbike as hard as I can a car (got into motorbikes too late) but I don't care. I just really like how different it is interacting with a bike on the road, compared to a car.

You’d be surprised, Marv. I would generally agree with you, I never feel like I’m throwing the bike around like I did with a car, but if I check my speed through corners I know well, I’m at least as fast on my bike as I am in the car (and remember cars have more grip and are capable of carrying more speed in a corner).

I've just designed some Phantom II gloves from Held on their made-to-measure service and asked for a quote. I suspect, it won't be cheap.

So my mate picks up his Ducati V4 Speciale in five days. That's a 40k bike.

It was the Superleggera I was thinking of, a mere £72,000.

Same guy saw a Desmo go for 50k at Bonhams yesterday and kick himself for missing it. I should have tried harder at school - and then work.

M56 was closed tonight, which I didn’t know until I saw all the stopped traffic. Filtered to the front of the queue, where I sat for 10 mins with the engine off until they reopened one lane. I won the drag race from the standing start and the nice policeman gave me a wave.

I have a set of lights on the A556 that I often *want* to be on red so I can launch from the green. Childish but fun. :)

Speaking of costly vehicles, our new Head of Dept. likes his fast cars, had the red GTR, and has an Exige. He sent me a link to an R8 V10 Plus (?) second hand but still £95k. Lovely car but fk me..
