Just look at it. Nothing else to report. I owe it at least one more track day before I decide whether it's a forever bike or not.

We'll definitely need updates on this - have you figured out how to upload pics yet??PreacherCain wrote: Tue Oct 02, 2018 11:30 am Planning a fundamental cosmetic overhaul for the 928 this winter - glass out, interior strip, repairs to the various bits of rust and alloy corrosion, then a re-spray. interior-wise, I'm having the seats re-trimmed and some extra bits of leather facing to some of the panels. Thus far the plan is to keep the colours original (midnight blue bodywork, grey upholstery) but with navy blue stitching and piping on the seats. The body shop reckon it's 3 months' work.![]()

I've had Michelin Crossclimate + On my S60 for the last 2 years now and they are a decent all season tyre Tim.
Even in the last big lot of snow I didn't get stuck and I live on Rombalds Moor!
My Peugeot 308 on Nokian Winters didn't cope as well but I think that's more the car than the tyres
Probably suit your needs quite well?

Re: Your fleet running reports
The thing with the 996 steering wheels has become one of my "things". I tried to help Dammit early on with his car, he was local and I just didn't believe the story his Tuna was giving him about why it wasn't working. I'm 99% sure I know the solution because I've done it on my own car, but he just went ahead and paid them (over a grand IIRC) to fit an entire new steering column

Same with his radio, he paid through the nose to buy a unit from the US that's made by Continental and available from Europe but the US seller sticks a "PORSCHE" sticker over the Continental logo and doubles the price

I gave up following his thread when he'd spent over £20k on top of the £10k purchase (and adding insult to injury he bought a convertible, FFS), and instead of slowing down he actually seemed to be accelerating with this bullshit

For non-911uk'ers, here's his thread, if you can bear it. He either has so much money that he literally does not understand what it is, or he's trying to bankrupt himself to avoid a a divorce payout.

Anyway, if I can get both of the cars sorted on Saturday I will feel vindicated

Hopefully buying a Xantia Activa if they don't want silly money for a car which hasn't been MOT'D for nearly 5 years.
Seems sound in pictures but we all know how misleading they can be......

Haha, he won't say what he wants for it which as it's a for sale ad makes me question him a bit!

Yeah seems a bit odd, left private messages and texted

Re: Your fleet running reports
It’s odd cos with the latest engine work, the whole thing must be close to GT3 money. Maybe he’s just bored.
But hey I may get to drive it when it’s finished.

It will probably be nice, but when it's cost more than a 996 GT3 or a nearly new 991, I maintain that he's a f**king idiot.

It's a 911, I thought having more weight at the back was good!?Sundayjumper wrote: Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:37 pmThe thing with the 996 steering wheels has become one of my "things". I don’t disagree; I like project and all, but I am from the book of ‘buy a better car in the first place’.

Contemplating whether I really want to read 28 pages about someone's 911. Maybe not.
Left over crest; tightens.
