Animals are not to be used for apologies. They live for 10/15 years+Beany wrote: Mon Apr 16, 2018 10:40 amHush now.
(and besides, we're both cat people and I owe her a favour or three after cocking a couple of things up)
(Similar to a dog is not just for Xmas).

Oh, she was planning on getting another cat anyway (she's always had at least one cat in her life) ; I'm just giving a helping hand so she doesn't have to worry about the fees and can instead spend it on KITTY TOYS. That's literally it - I'm not buying her a cat to appease her, it's just a way that we both agreed that I can make up for being a numpty last weekend by having a depressive fit.
I know damned well that cats aren't presents - that's why she's looking at rescue cats.
Also, Rev, that took far longer than I expected, I think this place is losing it's touch....

Re: It's the weekend
My weekend so far is full of win:
1) Had a haircut
2) Caravelle passed its MOT
3) Bought sausage rolls
4) Wife is out for a couple of hours
And the weather's OK too.

Fitted my remaining new rear light to the 7 and drove it round the M25 to get its service this morning.
On my way home now on the train, hopefully get back in time for a bbq before the weather deteriorates.
Nothing much else to report, shit week so just need to rest.

So far:
- Refit rear shock to GSXR
- Refit front forks to GSXR
- Change oil/filter on GSXR
- Take bedroom door off, plane and refit
- Take bathroom door off, plane and refit
- Fill car with all the old carpet and underlay from bedroom and hall/stairs/landing
And it’s only lunchtime.

-Went for a drive/coffee.
-Did a shop at Waitrose. (Yes - I know I'm a cliche).
-Washed car which is now painfully bright, then drove past a crowded local beer garden with noisy exhaust mode on so that even the vision impaired could enjoy it/hate me too.

Not on the stag do - I’m not off to Vegas for a drive-thru wedding to a Priscilla Presley lookalike!
Been off-roading in a quarry in the Forest of Dean today. It’s where Autocar filmed the Merc pickup thing recently.
Re: It's the weekend
My weekend has been fairly dull, due to the lack of kitty action (the cat is still a bit edgy at the missus' so I'm not down there, to give kitty a chance to settle in).
So I've just been pottering about the house having a bit of a tidy up more than anything else.
That said, given it's pretty warm out, I'm not arguing - the house stays nice and cool in this weather.

There was also a fabulous Kathmandu curry in a Nepalese restaurant.
