Harry’s Garage
Re: Harry’s Garage
Again, I think so many are missing the point of this. Don't forget the prototype was a 2 door. This is little more than a 2+2. I think the rear doors are for anyone who just doesn't want to tilt their front seats for the kids to get in the back.
It's a statement vehicle. It's fast, comfortable, and looks brilliant. Simple. Compare it to a DB11, not a FFRR.

Re: Harry’s Garage
if that was the case, they should have made it 2 door or made the rear doors like an RX8. Unfortunately it looks like they were told at the last minute it needed to be a 4 door and they budged it. It looks bodged too and that will be the statement every time you get in and out.Simon wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2026 9:54 pm Again, I think so many are missing the point of this. Re: Harry’s Garage
I loved the rear doors on the RX8. Yeah it could be a slight pain that the fronts had to be opened first, but the access they provided made that worth the inconvenience.

I was beside a London favourite - the Quattroporte today and thought it's quite long so looked up the dimensionsGG. wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2026 11:43 am For a car with no rear space or boot to be 25cm longer than my FFRR is ridiculous. Particularly when you factor into it that you'll be looking forward through a letter box and have a tiny digital screen for a rear view mirror. Manoeuvring it must be an absolute pig.

I think the Jag will be ok in London. Not the most practical family car but you can probably fit teenage sized kids in there just fine.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Harry’s Garage
I saw someone say Harry had essentially let slip in his other video that the deposit was for a Valhalla?
Re: Harry’s Garage
If it is a Valhalla and he personalises it through Q then it will likely not be "hundreds" of thousands but over a million. Personally it seems like one of the least interesting ways to spend seven figures on an automobile. I'm not sure why but the Zonda having a Mercedes V12 never bothered me (possible because it sounded incredible) but the AMG V8 being used in an 850k car I wouldn't be happy with at all, particularly as it sounds worse in flat plane guise than in normal cross-plane format.
Also, Valhallas were sold out from the factory in 2023 so I don't actually think it is that.

Yes. A statement. Of incompetence.Rich B wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2026 10:48 pmif that was the case, they should have made it 2 door or made the rear doors like an RX8. Re: Harry’s Garage
Which video was that? I thought I'd watched them generally and in the 12Cilindri one he did say he'd buy one. Don't remember him saying that about the Valhalla. And I know he's allergic to depreciation so I think the Valhalla would be a bit of a risk.KiwiDave wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 2:40 am I saw someone say Harry had essentially let slip in his other video that the deposit was for a Valhalla?

Re: Harry’s Garage
I thought he absolutely hated the electronic interface on all of the modern Ferraris. Whether that would be enough to put him off buying one I don’t know.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Harry’s Garage
I think I read it as a comment from someone under the Project 8 video - basically saying 'but you already gave it away last week saying you were buying a Valhalla.'
And I read the Project 8 video as saying the several hundred grand was the deposit necessary, not the whole cost of the car?

Re: Harry’s Garage
He said in the P7 video that he’d already put down a returnable deposit and that the car was a few hundred thousand - that could quite reasonably be Harry downplaying a car for a million or so but not much more than £1m.
I did watch the Valhalla video and while he definitely liked it far more than I expected, I didn’t notice him say he wanted to buy one.

Just more layers inbetween driver and power to the road. Auto trans doing this or that on its own logic, likewise the turbos and E assist.GG. wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 9:50 am I'm not sure why but the Zonda having a Mercedes V12 never bothered me (possible because it sounded incredible) but the AMG V8 being used in an 850k car I wouldn't be happy with at all, particularly as it sounds worse in flat plane guise than in normal cross-plane format.
Simple, manual, NA, great combo. Add the magic of 12 cylinders and huge power and it's probably impossible to better.

As the ability of the car has gone so far beyond most drivers then the performance needs to feel more visceral than ever.
Dave!

I though he said it was "hundreds of thousands" maybe I misheard. Wonder if the current video is a clue...Jobbo wrote: Thu Oct 15, 2026 6:53 am He said in the P7 video that he’d already put down a returnable deposit and that the car was a few hundred thousand - that could quite reasonably be Harry downplaying a car for a million or so but not much more than £1m.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I wasn’t quoting verbatim so yes, he may have said it exactly as you put Gav. When I heard it I assume he meant less than a million, but if it was £1.1m it would still be quite possible that he was downplaying his expenditure. Using his Timculator.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Just watching the new vid and at one point he says "glad I didn't bring my Utopia Roadster!Jobbo wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 6:50 pm I wasn’t quoting verbatim so yes, he may have said it exactly as you put Gav. Re: Harry’s Garage
Utopia Roadster would be cool but have you seen the price of them

Re: Harry’s Garage
Harry did say they’re all sold as well. But then he said a few times he was going go the toe of Italy when it’s obviously the heel. So who knows

I’m not really into supercars, but I think pagan is are fantastic. Properly flamboyant, a little bit chintzy in some of the details, but the attention to detail is absurd.
I know most prefer a screaming nasp, but good lord those turbo whooshes, hisses and flutters do it for me.
