Re: Decent car YouTubes
Fair enough I noticed that as well. Nice car tho eh?
Could you really live with a single temp for your and your passenger in 2026?
Re: Decent car YouTubes
P1 is feckin rabid
This has not however diminished my lust for a BAC Mono.
This vid reminded me very much of @nefarious in his Westfield chasing down and eventually passing a 996GT2

This randomly popped up. I just skipped through to the driving bit but I like the way it messes with my head. It's like an optical illusion but it's real and my brain can't accept it.
How about not having a sig at all?

I'm not sure this is as endearing as the comments suggest.
I love 964 Turbos. I'll never be able to afford one...but if bought a boggo 964, spent a few quid trying to improve it, then a mate came along and bought a 964T and said "I know you love 964T's, so I've bought one - it's mine, buy you can use it whenever you want" .... I'm not sure I'd be over the moon about it. Think I'd feel like I was being trumped (not in the Donald sense).
Yes, I know it's probably more for the "clicks" but...

I think it’s lovely. I couldn’t ever be upset at someone buying a car I’d love. The registration number was the only thing that felt mean, and CARBNARA was better on the Giulia GTA anyway.
Brilliant, brilliant video.

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Unsure whether to put this in the "Want" thread, but probably best here. Some absolutely lovely cars.
Especially at 7:20, that 964 Turbo is just perfect. I'm not the biggest fan of black cars, but with the tan interior? Amazing.

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Fuck. Was a synthetic Manuel the obvious next reality? I hadn’t thought of that.

Ive just watched it. I thought this was brilliant.Matty wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 4:47 pm I'm not sure this is as endearing as the comments suggest.

Harris seems to like it. FWIW, I can really see the point. Manual for when you're pootling around and just want some driver engagement. Auto for when you're on it.
I can totally understand Ferrari saying '"you need an automatic to keep up because otherwise there's too much going on".

I get it too. And I also agree that once your power/weight ratio heads above "a certain level", a manual box starts to become an increasing compromise.Simon wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2026 5:23 pm

(Not meant as a dig at people - just an analogy that comes to mind) - the Manuale feels to me a little like you have set up your expensive home hifi with a music streamer and a turntable. But when you (lovingly) slip your favourite album from it's sleeve, carefully place the vinyl onto the turntable etc, its actually cleverly emulating a real arm with a real cartridge and a real diamond stylus. It's an expertly weighted facsimile of that system. What you hear is the track playing via the same streaming service - circumventing the innate dynamic limitations of vinyl and providing something scientifically superior, without causing any wear to said vinyl. Or maybe you synthesise some pops and crackles and speed variations and compromise the sound somehow to ever so superbly emulate the warmth that folks who prefer to listen to vinyl seem to like.
It's all super clever and impressive, but.... it doesn't really appeal.
Re: Decent car YouTubes
I'm struggling to think of anything quite as stupid as performative gear shifting.
Re: Decent car YouTubes
It would feel a bit pointless to be manually changing gears knowing that really, you’re doing feck all and the car would do it better by itself.
What I find odd is it’s a limited edition and a £150,000 premium. I’m guessing Ferrari will have a very tight grip on spare parts for it because what’s stopping someone just buying the electronic knob and fitting it to their poverty spec car. Piece of piss vs an actual gearbox swap.

I hope someone buys one and then manual manual swaps it as an ultimate fuck youMito Man wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2026 8:42 pm It would feel a bit pointless to be manually changing gears knowing that really, you’re doing feck all and the car would do it better by itself.

I was thinking I was obviously being silly but then realised isn't that the same engine still as an Enzo, i.e. 599 which did have a manual so in theory COULD be done
