I always lusted after the 309GTI more than the 205 1.9.

Yeah I know that’s a bit weird.

Mate’s mum had one new back in the day and she pootled about in it - probably never went over 3krpm. I was soooo envious.

I liked the 309 GTI back in the day but with hindsight you can see the styling is a bit rubbish compared to the 205. It benefits from having similar details to the 205 (the red stripe, cladding, alloys for instance), and the facelift front grille looks good, but the side profile is strange with the windows and roof looking a bit tall and the rear lights are too small.

Same, I always had a thing for the 309 too. Mainly because I like being a bit of a contrarian and the 205 was so obvious.

Ive just sent the “mental health” ones onto my Irish ops director. He (and my South African MD) were doing a light hearted award ceremony a couple of years ago for our christmas do. They sent out an email for nominations for best this and best that, then also for “spastic of the year”….

apparently in Ireland it’s still a light hearted term!

If you can't afford to lift the body off the drivetrain to fix a simple wiper issues, you aren't the kind of customer Aston Martin is interested in.

Granted you’d have to put a towel down, plus it’s a rapide so you could stuff them in the back seats

It’s still not as bad as replacing an air filter in a Porsche panamera, at least this is a fault rather than something routine

Safe for work, but I’m not sure if I should be worried that the algorithm selected this for me.
