It’s nice to be insulated from the exorbitant fuel prices. Maybe I do more miles than you but I’m saving a fair bit more than £100 a month, at least twice that.

Part of the "problem" now for me is now overanalysing journey prices.

I try to visit the folks once a week - it's a 45mile round-trip of which 95% is motorway. Cost of that journey in the E is about 80pence. The cost of that journey in the Evora (currently showing 32mpg) is about £12.50. In the overall cost of cars, it's largely nothing, and I never even considered it back in the days when I was full ICE, but now I keep thinking I can save that and spend it on M&S Cookies instead.

I can see why - you've only just got the EV. But consider if this way: if all your journeys were in the Honda you'd save a fortune but not be using the more expensive sports car, so that would be an undesirable situation. Work it out at the end of the year, or at least after a few months - and bear in mind you might use the Lotus less in the winter anyway. You can always tweak your usage next year.
