eRetro French cars
Re: eRetro French cars
I like the 2CV. I’d want proper seats with headrests in mine for when a 3 tonne SUV rams into the back of it
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: eRetro French cars
Obviously without the silly interior, but that 2CV looks like a great idea. I can imagine having one for scooting around town.
Re: eRetro French cars
Love the 2CV and I like the rear of the 205 T16.
Is the 2CV basically a rebodied Ami?

Re: eRetro French cars
Proper range so probably not Ami-based.
Yeah, I'd like some head rests please.
Love how the 'cv' of the logo is a 2 on its side.

Left over crest; tightens.

We're bringing back whiplash, this woke safety nonsense is ruining everything.Mito Man wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 7:11 pm I like the 2CV. I’d want proper seats with headrests in mine for when a 3 tonne SUV rams into the back of it![]()
Didn't have headrests in the back when I was a kid and we turned out fine
Re: eRetro French cars
Peugeot would be daft not to make a wee ev that looks like a 205 imo.
An absolute unit
Re: eRetro French cars
It's designed as a car rather than a quadracycle so hopefully pretty usable as second vehicle or city car.JonMad wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 9:14 am Proper range so probably not Ami-based.

I think it looks fab and very practical if it had a less photogenic coloured interior lol

Re: eRetro French cars
It’s just an ugly little hatchback with a concept interior to me. At best it’s another “new beetle” for rich parents to buy for their 17 year old daughters, but i don’t think the look is strong enough to pull that off imo.
i do love the logo though!

Re: eRetro French cars
They're already making an attempt to do so with the e-208 GTI that launched recently. Need to go more all-in like Renault did with the R5 though, and by doing a half-assed job first they may have ruined their chances of doing it right successfully.ZedLeg wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 10:07 am Peugeot would be daft not to make a wee ev that looks like a 205 imo.
Re: eRetro French cars
The side of that reminds me of the Jaguar 01

Re: eRetro French cars
French Car Show putting some interesting stuff out there… with additional “future” models on display by Fiat with its Multipla(y) etc
Cheers,

I like the 2CV, I saw it was to be £15k not sub 13, but it looks fab.
Having said that, we looked at a Cactus as they looked funky and it felt really very cheaply made and we bought the Yeti instead.
I prefer the R5 and the R4 as well.

Re: eRetro French cars
I like the 4, 5 and twingo a lot, but think the 2cv looks a bit crap. Like a cheap knockoff playmobile toy 2cv ( before they started licensing actual manufacturers) but in a bad way. And I usually like cheap utilitarian cars.
