Ah, a Dobsonian - which is (of course) a type of simplified, low-cost Newtonian reflector telescope mounted on a basic, ground-based altazimuth base.
Popularized by amateur astronomer John Dobson in 1965, the design uses everyday, inexpensive materials like wood and Teflon for the mount, allowing users to get the largest possible light-gathering mirror ("aperture") for their money.
