Apparently a 6 cylinder engine over the 405 4 cylinder, so possibly just a stretched 405 chassis, but given 605 looks due to the bigger size, but that’s just guesswork

£500 delivery or £599 warranty + £250 delivery.

Looking at the prices, my thinking is that this will hold value better even if I put another 30k miles on it over the next few years.

Either way, how brave is sir feeling? You can get a GTS for similar price privately, albeit with a few more miles. There's a white one that's been driven SO HARD it's pulling tbe spoiler off!

I was chatting to the big dealer I bought my Ateca from (Marshalls) and they said their pricing is done automatically via software depending on demand and other prices in the market. Platforms like MotorDesk do the valuation and connect to AutoTrader via an API and update automatically.

Bit of a quandry - yellow a harder colour to live with as so "look at me", also higher miles worse condition and more expensive. It is generally better spec being a GTS (sports exhaust notably) but alcantara wears badly and weird weird choice not to spec the dual zone auto climate - you'd think that would be standard Could you really live with a single temp for your and your passenger in 2026?

Every time I get in the smart it is either on full cold or full hot depending on whether the car was too hot or cold - the concept of an automatically variable output to meet a pre-set target temperature is an unfathomable concept.

There needs to be an optional placebo controller for the passenger side Either that or if you have multiple zones, allow it to be synced without the passenger control showing that it's ignoring the inputs.

When I get in the passenger seat of my wife's car, I tend to find the control on 'Low' and the vent closed by some previous occupant who didn't think to turn the temperature up a bit.

Mmm I think it's a risk based on how well these cars stand up over the years (although probably quite well), but you're looking at a £10-15k premium over the equivalent 981S (and I have already strayed some way from my original budget...).

I would even debate whether it is possible to have two separate climates in a tiny sports car which has a large heat producing engine immediately behind you.

We have been known to do placebo controllers (that only alter the temperature +/- 1 degree) when setting up HVAC in offices!
