That's odd because I remember it being the G30 5 series which were bloody awful for blinding you. I don't notice anymore so they must have fixed it.

Lights being too bright seems odd, surely there must be some obvious limit, I wonder how that recall will be handled as that's a lot of headlights !!!

The limit for a normal halogen is 55w, but quite how that translates to more efficient light sources I have no idea, and I expect there’s some weird get-around for lights with multiple individual sources.

There are physical issues meaning substantial reworking of the body would be needed to pass an iva test. Then there’s the electronic side. I think they said the whole electronic system is integrate meaning you can’t easily do something like add orange uk spec indicators.

Google says the problem is sharp edges on the body, and the steer-by-wire steering is not permissible.

I guess you could put rubber padding over all the corners, which wouldn’t make it look any more stupid than it does already, but the steering seems like a hard “no”.
