Whilst the specs aren't anything special for a sub, their RS1 is physically pretty small, nicely finished, and not expensive at £350. I suspect it would make a pretty significant difference to the sound though..... :ugeek:
I did see this on their website, tempting....

Cambridge Audio has been connected to Richer Sounds for quite a long time - Julian Richer bought Cambridge with a partner in 1994, though it's always been a separate company to Richer Sounds. Julian Richer exited Richer Sounds and Cambridge Audio so I suspect they are less connected than they used to be, but Richer Sounds have pushed Cambridge Audio products for years so there must be some sort of deal still.

I did ask the guy at Sevenoaks about it and he explained Richer Sounds do get paid more commission for selling Cambridge Audio. How true this is I don't know, but it did seem to fit following my experience of visiting a store.

(There are a few positive comments from people choosing this combo on their website here. Bottom of page. Eg "I’ve been a Ruark fan for many years having owned a vita audio r2 followed by an R4i. I’ve just recently purchased an R410 and a Rs1 sub to use together. Wow this combo rocks. Ruarks signature sound so clear and neutral with power to spare even in a large room. It’s inspired my listening to music again. And all the detail I’ve missed in the past. Big thankyou all at ruark. R810 next" )
