Bargain of the week

I assume they couldn't give it away with those wheels

I liked the red wheelz

So I’ve now collected it. I didn’t plan to buy a car this weekend until my mate Craig messaged me on Friday at about 5:30pm.
“Do you want a mini project”?
Thinking he was needing a hand with something I asked him what he was doing. “Getting rid of it, I’ve not got any time for it.”
“How much?”
“£1500”
“Send me your bank details!”
My Lad has gone halfers with me on it as he was talking about buying something cheap. I had been on the lookout for something I could take to a track that I wouldn’t need to worry about track insuring or spending £5k on a respray if I rattled through a gravel trap.
It has a new intercooler and power steering pump. Has a slight leak in the power steering fluid I need to fix. I’ve insured it with the boy on it for £445 he’s going to pay the road tax which is about the same. The red wheels are MG wheels with NS2R’s on it…but they are dated 2015 and the rubber is starting to delaminate on one so they’re for the bin. The standard wheels have a nearly new set of rainsports. It’ll need a set of F4R pads a fluid change and a set of tyres before we track it. Otherwise it should be good to go.
Couldn’t pass it up for the money.
Re: Well technically this wasn’t my fault..
Is it standard, wheels aside? Or has it been previously track fettled?

More or less standard. It's got a newer mini R56 exhaust backbox and a shit air filter that will be getting replaced as it's sat right in the middle of the engine bay. the standard airbag will be going back on it.
Fettling today. The dipstick was broken...Stuck together with Duct tape. New one ordered. It had no oil in it. the rear tyre was at 10 psi. Its also leaking coolant from the front of the engine...Which looks like it's the thermostat housing. It was pissing power steering fluid everywhere as its had a new pump fitted and the hoses weren't on correctly. Ive hopefully fixed that now.
I'll order a housing and look at that later in the week. Intercooler needs to come off to get to it.

It’s not the housing. Looks like it’s the water pump seal. Which is of course behind the supercharger.
