Bye By Farage...
Re: Bye By Farage...
Nobody else would be given a half hour slot, basically a party political broadcast, in the middle of the day like this.
Plenty he said was misleading; his expenses in Clacton are zero because he hasn't held any constituency surgeries or done any constituency work. You know he'd claim any expenses which were due. I hope the people of Clacton reject him on this basis alone.
He hasn't complied with the register of interests requirements and Jenrick basically confirmed that yesterday.
I'd like to think Farage is spent. I'd love to see Count Binface beat him. If the other parties all refuse to dignify this toddler tantrum with any response and simply don't stand against him, he'll lose any PR benefit. Hope that's what happens.

Re: Bye By Farage...
this...
If even half his bluster were true, he'd have half a dozen civil suits to fight, suing for a variety of things from slander to privacy invasion etc.
It's all rubbish but it doesn't have ot be true - a la Trump, it'll become FACT in the right wings of social media.
Releasing the location of his daughter's house, if true, is a bit shitty though
Re: Bye By Farage...
That is shitty. Accusing Sky of doing something the Times did is completely wrong though; they aren't the same company.dinny_g wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 2:46 pm Releasing the location of his daughter's house, if true, is a bit shitty though
Re: Bye By Farage...
He did say the Times released it but Sky up and tried to get an interview...
Which doesn't surprise me since Sky News is the Reform of Journalism

Re: Bye By Farage...
Apparently it was this house, which he was regularly using for photos about ten years ago.
Another line of bullshit from a cunt.

An absolute unit
Re: Bye By Farage...
Eh? The BBC seem to have given an inordinate amount of air time to Reform. Not sure I'd tar Sky with that brush.
Anyway, the thing he was referring to was this video from yesterday of a Sky reporter asking questions about the Cottrell donations. He was accusing Sky of harrassing his family. They were able to issue a flat denial:
https://news.sky.com/video/reforms-nige ... s-13561088
If The Times showed one of Farage's 5 houses that's fair because they'd be on the register of interests.

Forgotten about disgraced former PM Boris Johnson already have we? I mean, he wasn't quite as to the scale of Trump, but still billions were funneled away via "jobs for the boys" and squandered too.Rich B wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 1:18 pmWe’re a long way off the brazen and open cheating and stealing of Trump - the fact the country (including our press) are up in arms over shady donations and associating with criminals is a good thing.V8Granite wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 1:14 pm
We laugh at Trump but ffs we as a country aren't producing any better.

Thats just a normal Tuesday from Trump - the press wouldn’t even waste their “one question against the glorious leader before being thrown out of the press conference” for that.Marv wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 3:21 pmForgotten about disgraced former PM Boris Johnson already have we? Re: Bye By Farage...
If Clacton re-elect him, can we annex the shithole?
Re: Bye By Farage...
Suspension of investigations
39. The Commissioner has the discretion to suspend investigations at any time. This may, for example, happen if the Member suffers ill health or a bereavement during the investigation, or where a related police investigation is taking place.
40. If Parliament is dissolved or the Member otherwise ceases to be a Member while an investigation is in progress, the Commissioner will suspend their investigation until the Member is re-elected. If the Member is not returned to Parliament, the Commissioner will decide if it is appropriate and proportionate to resume their investigation.
Re: Bye By Farage...
Well, maybe if everyone else stands down and he goes up against binface, one of two things happen:
Farage is re-elected and the investigation continues at full pelt - a win.
Binface is elected to represent the people of Clacton - a win.
Also, note that resigning isn't a guarantee of the investigation being dropped, it's at the Commissioners discretion - and they'd be fucking morons to let this shit slide.

Re: Bye By Farage...
I’ve seen Ed Davey call for his resignation not to be effective until the parliamentary standards enquiry has made its findings. Don’t think that can happen but it’s better for everyone if it doesn’t - he’s just brought 6 weeks’ attention to his affairs at the quietest time of year politically. Ha ha, not a master tactician this time.
