Driving like a cvnt
Bit of a rant. Two guys died in a crash on the A13 which is the road I regularly use getting out of town. It's a terrible loss of life and tragic accident.
A video has dropped of CCTV showing their driving up to the point of the crash and it's so infuriating, because it confirms something: They were driving like grade-A dickheads, pretending to be in a video game, and putting so many other people at risk on that road. It is precisely the kind of driving I see on that road and the A406 on a very regular basis, I've had people cut in front of me exactly like that on several occasions, it's always been utterly mental out there. We've got speed cams and mobile phone cams, when will we get 'driving like an utter cunt' cams? Something needs to happen.
(TW: Video shows the driving leading up to the crash, the car goes out of shot just as it hits the barriers)

I saw that clip yesterday (and the picture of the charred remains of the car) and thought similarly. There are lots of vids of idiots who seem to get a kick out of this kind of "racing". Tragic waste of young lives though.
Re: Driving like a cvnt
Wonder if the other car he was racing with will get prosecuted as well?
People have always driven like cunts though unfortunately. I was mentioning on here that one of the bigger factors is the easy accessibility to mega-performance for not much cash. GolfRs, A45s and numerous electric cars that do figures that, 15+ years ago, were the realms of the really bigger boys....add on incredibly high limits of those cars, and when it goes wrong, it really goes wrong.
Not much you can do about it, unfortunately, only hope that said cunts don't take other people with them when they fuck up

Re: Driving like a cvnt
Agree. I don't think the huge reductions in Traffic cops, in favour of speed cameras has helped much (either in terms of this kind of stupidity, or driving standards in general).
Re: Driving like a cvnt
East London is generally terrible for this kind of driving, the worst in the country from what I’ve experienced. Even cvnts in the old Smarts doing 90 mph weaving in and out of traffic.,
Solution is simple. Let the Police force keep the fines for themselves for nailing these pricks. It would cover all their costs and allow them to expand and specifically target it.

How about not having a sig at all?

I sincerely hope the other car gets caught. I’m sure there have been previous examples of prosecutions for both cars racing when only one of them is involved in a crash.Matty wrote: Tue Jun 30, 2026 10:40 am Wonder if the other car he was racing with will get prosecuted as well?

People have always driven like cunts, true, however this precise style of high speed weaving is something that I’ve only witnessed on a regular basis in the last 10 years, since moving to east London.
Totally agree high powered machines definitely must contribute though.
Re: Driving like a cvnt
Bet there were balloons and a load of nitrous oxide containers in the car too. Seems to go hand in hand these days

Maybe more noticeable now due to to the increase in footage, news and socials publishing this kind of stuff?
Social media is absolutely a factor in people's stupidity - you only have to look at the comments on IG to see people praising shitty driving like this.Mito Man wrote: Tue Jun 30, 2026 11:33 am

Re: Driving like a cvnt
Modern stability control is a big factor - it'll save you every time, right up until it doesn't, by which time you're so out of shape that you're massively fucked.
And many drivers on the road have never driven a car that doesn't have pretty competent stability control these days.
And yeah, the algorithms designed to bait engagement with outrageous content really don't help. Kids killing themselves and others showing off for The Insta so that Zuck can get more ad revenue.

Re: Driving like a cvnt
I have zero sympathy for the morons which wipe themselves out, very little for the willing passengers.
However the thought of the people that have to deal with the mess, people who have their property damaged, innocent people caught up in it who get hurt or killed, absolutely disgusts me.
Sadly incidents like this tar everyone who may on occasion drive briskly of break a speed limit with the same brush.
Unfortunately it’s a lot easier to setup a speed camera that have people on the lookout for bellends.
I’ve seen many of the modern hatch, laid back driving position, straight arm driving videos driving very quickly in inappropriate situations with pretty much zero car control. Almost always a dsg gearbox too.

Re: Driving like a cvnt
Hardly anyone filmed/got filmed driving like an idiot and posted it on the internet in the 80s…
Like everything these days, it’s all recorded and shared - good and bad alike.

Re: Driving like a cvnt
I see this kind of driving almost every other time I drive between London Bridge and Leicester, either on the A406, M25 or M1, and it's depressing how little understanding they clearly have of how quickly it could go wrong for them and innocent bystanders.
Beany mentioned it, but this type of driving couldn't happen 15 years ago unless you could afford an expensive high performance car, and even then some of them had poor stability control systems. These drivers would have generally been in 3-5 year old 150-200hp non-turbo cars that you can't squirt up to high speeds like the modern 300-450hp equivalent, and the poor driving ability would have put you into a spin on the first transition or given 'safe' understeer into the nearest car or barrier.

True that the modern power, acceleration, stability and aids which these new cars have must be a huge factor. Being able to drive like that was so much harder and more expensive 25 years ago. Nowadays an £8k Golf R and you’re off driving like it’s a PS5 game.

PHer has just posted that they've had the car in from this incident. It has been released by Police so off to be scrapped.

Same story again. Banned driver, stupidly powerful car, NO bottles/balloons, and neither wearing seatbelts.

Re: Driving like a cvnt
I mean... how do you even stop this ? Apart from "trusting people" there's literally nothing stopping someone who's already banned from driving from buying a s/h car for cash, not buying insurance, getting wasted, and doing this. Just "more police" doesn't do it.The court was told Amjid has been driving at 87mph (140km/h) on approach and at the point of contact with the wall the car was travelling at 65mph (105km/h). The legal limit on the road was 30mph (50km/h).
Mitchell said at the scene, Amjid, had asked a witness not to tell anyone he had been driving because "he was a banned driver".
The car had no MOT, the tyre tread was below the legal minimum depth and neither occupants were wearing seat belts, he added.
Police found a large can of nitrous oxide in the car and several balloons.
Judge Rose said Amjid's behaviour had been "reckless, dangerous and wilful" and that he had ignored previous warnings to change his behaviour.
In May 2023, Amjid had been stopped by a police officer who told him "if he continued as he was he would kill someone". At that point he had 11 points on his licence.
On 26 March 2024 he was disqualified from driving after receiving more than 12 points.
