The paint colour (American Flag Blue) is also too dark so it absorbs more heat and keeps the water warmer and thus, the algae blooms

As we have our pool up at the moment and my YouTube feed is once again blessed with pool tips and filter recommendations, it's given me great joy to watch the reflecting pool saga unfold. It's amazing how the grift is so public yet barely spoken about.

The bluesky thread I posted covers it - at this time of year there’s more than enough light & heat for the algae to bloom, so the colour is only a minor factor. The key is food for the algae, phosphates, which DC tap water has a high level of because it’s added on purpose to control corrosion in lead piping. Along with the nice warm weather, the abundant food turbo-charges the algae growth.

I’ve already seen plenty of threads of it being blamed on residual algae in the pipes and that a load of liberals had been seen pouring green liquid into the pond.

I’ve said it several times before, but the absurdity of this timeline never fails to confound me!

Back in my Uni days, students putting washing up liquid in the fountains was the reason given for the fountains never being turned on.

It's gonna be hilarious when Iran starts kicking off again a month before the midterms, and Trump can't do anything because having troops die while you're campaigning isn't good for votes

“The ships are flowing through the strait like never before”

The facts say 50 odd ships have made it through, a fraction of the normal traffic. (C4 news just now)

Every single news station around the world should be reporting this not just posting Trumps lies.

It’s fine, totally fine. Announcement expected within a few hours.

“Open the fucking strait, you crazy bastards” or something normal like that.
