Well my R&G stands turned up yesterday and they seem like pretty robust well made things, so all good there.

I'm just going to apologise now to everyone here, and who follows me on social media for the outburst of pics and OMGs that will occur in about 4 hours time. I got turned out at 4am to transport someones spinal fluid between hospitals so I'm drunk on tiredness as well as new bike fever :p

IT'S NEW BIKE DAY MOTHERHUBBARDS!!!

Baz are you going in for yours today too?

I've taken the afternoon off to collect mine, so likewise, expect pictures and maybe even a smile. Been using the GSXR for commuting this week and it's hilarious.. Everything gets in my way, I'll be relieved to get back to my mellow Fazer.

600 miles to run in service, then build up to 1k miles before is classed as fully run in. If this weather holds I'll do my best to get that done!

Nice.

No running in for me, bike is only 10 weeks old but has done 1800 miles so the loony-tunes key should be fitted in the ecu (enables Dynamic Pro mode) and I'm outta there at warp factor 9. :)

Lovely Tim. Red/white/blue works so well on BMW's.

Picked mine up after lunch, on the road by mid afternoon once the dealer had been through the motions. 86 miles in the bag. First 300 under 5k rpms, 300-600 I'm allowed 6k then increase every 100 miles or some such faff. Booked first service a week Sat. so I'm "forced" to stick 500 miles on it in the next week.

Ignoring the motor as I'm babying it, brakes feel strong already, nicely damped front and rear, flicks through bend even like a leaf in the wind, great fun.

Well I did 80 miles home on a mix of roads (half of which following Mr Honeyball formerly of this parish on his K1300S), kept it reasonably sensible. Sorted some stuff out, had a quick wipe down of stuck on flies and tinkered with the settings a bit (y'know important stuff like setting the pit-lane limiter rpm limit) then went out for another 30 miles hooning around, via a McTea.

So far I've let it rev out twice from 2nd, with accompanying in-helmet noises. Fooking bonkers. It'll take a while before I'm fully comfortable with the sheer grunt of this thing to dare try the launch control. lol

Tucked up now as I'm on SERV duty tonight, else I'd still be out there squashing flies. :)

Can't get much heat into them at the moment, hence being very sensible on lean, but quite pleased Triumph didn't cheap out on tyres yeah. Yamaha put plastic Dunslips on the Tracer and they were a liability (since replaced with Mich Pilot5s).

Can you please stop talking about going fast too, my max for the time being is 58mph ~5k rpms
