What features are you after? What specs does it need to support?

Re: Soundbars
Nothing exceptional, just a decent upgrade from the Toshiba tvs crap speakers. I have a Polk S2 and the sound was good for a couple of years.DeskJockey wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2026 8:00 pm What features are you after? What specs does it need to support?

That's the best I can come up with. I've got an old Samsung one that's decent, but no longer available.

Insufficient experience to provide any guidance.
My tv came with a free LG S7Q soundbar from Richer Sounds. Used it for a month or so as it gave me 3 options:
- via TV speakers
- via soundbar
- via stereo
Realised that casual viewing was via TV speakers, and if I wanted decent sound then the stereo blew the soundbar apart. Hence it never got used.
It’s now with the other TV that’s is primarily used for PlayStation / sim racing. Here it’s used all the time, but although it claims to be a bar + sub, the sub is a bass speaker rather than a sub.

Re: Soundbars
We’ve got an LGUS70TR soundbar/sub brand new in the box that can go for £200 delivered in the UK if anyone’s interested.
Re: Soundbars
I've got a Sonos Beam + Sub, and it works well enough....but the offer from Jim is a cracking one! Buy that.
Re: Soundbars
I got a Sony soundbar to go with a big Sony TV in the living room. Yes it doesn’t sound as good as the stereo for music but it is better for being able to hear voices in films so it’s useful. Being the same brand means it integrates nicely but maybe they all do these days.
