Broadly agree although it was never the compliance that bothered me with the 7, it was the aerodynamics, buffeting and general flightiness at motorway speeds which just got really tiring.Jobbo wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 9:28 amI think Elise if you like that idea but the Caterham is too extreme - but having said that, my feeling is that the Elise isn't a softer alternative to the Caterham but simply a more modern way to do the same thing, which happens to be more usable at the same time. A Caterham or an Elise can easily be specced to be more compliant and civilised, or turned into something which is the most visceral thrill which is road legal.duncs500 wrote: Thu May 21, 2026 11:18 pm TL;DR if you've got an E-Class and a 911, and have space for another car a Caterham is a nice addition to the fleet. If you like that idea but a Caterham seems too extreme, errr Morgan? I don't really know who buys them...

yeah, that's exactly what led me to add the 'at low speed' bit. It would certainly be on my mind.mik wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 10:13 amWatch you don't mince your face a-la-Flintoff.JonMad wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 9:52 am I'm doing the Morgan factory tour and hour drive experience thing with a few friends in July. Drive is either in a Plus Four or a Super 3. Tempted more by the latter just for it being the more unusual experience - at low speed though.(The 3-wheelers do nothing for me personally).

Re: The green one
I think that green Caterham looks the business
The ex Drivetribe guy drove one of those Morgan's up to a hill on the west coast and he thought the styling looks like they've tried to do a "Singer" on it. I think that dark purple one looks really nice, but not sure if they've quite figured out the balance of the retro v current features on it.

Re: The green one
Had a Caterham (guessing R500 due plate R500 YAH) overtake me today (dog in boot of my car #excuse) and must say the driver looked very hot/red/burnt!
Can you add air conditioning?
Cheers,
Ian
