Won't get on unfortunately. :( Shame because it's down the road from me. Let me know if you ever want to do Snetterton!

Yeah, pretty stringent on noise there. I got through the static with the 7, but had problems later (although not just noise problems!).

Looks like noise at Brands is same as Snetterton so assume you'd be fine there. Surprised actually as I thought it was more stringent.

On the basis of driving it on games, I always liked the track, the lack of run off however appeals less...

I am in no way a track day expert 🤣 but I did one at Brands and honestly didn't really enjoy it. The Indy circuit is really short. It wasn't helped by the fact there were loads of Caterham racers there that day; they're fast in the corners but awful on the straights, I was constantly backing off on the straights so I didn't get in their way, meaning I rarely got to hit a corner at my own speed. I don't think I got a single clear lap all day.

Bedford - and I think it was the same day Duncs refers to above :D - is much longer, never felt crowded, and I could get some decent speed up.

I thought Snetterton was great, I was in a sessioned day and spent loads of time with nobody around / bothering me. I didn't mind the enforced breaks at all. Apart from the lack of elevation changes the track seemed to have good variety too (and good run off).

4th June 2018.
Fab pic 😎 I did Thruxton many years ago and was constantly having to slow for other vehicles.. wish it was popular enough that you could do a lap and then be grouped with similar times people
Cheers,

Not just similar times though, similar cars (or styles). As above the Caterhams were fast in the corners but slow on the straights. Cars (/drivers) that are fast on the straights but terrible on corners might produce comparable lap times but would piss each other off constantly.

I Wass looking at the Evo evening at Donnington on the 16th.

Its discounted to £203 (from £239) which isnt bad but still more expensive than Javelin, Opentrack etc. Not sure if Evo do anything different to justify this.
