It worked well for Jaguar…
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
TL;DW? Longer than an Audi Q8 and wider than UK width restrictors; which they’ll see lots of in London! Sensible city car really!
Cheers,
Ian

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I wonder if there are ever gasps of horror or laughter at these unveilings. I expect everyone is on absolute best most polite behaviour so they’re allowed to go to future events and scared to show what they actually think.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
Not after being offloaded by VAG they ain’t.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
They don’t care what people who can’t afford them think and people who can afford them love that kind of tacky shiteintegrale_evo wrote: Wed May 27, 2026 9:54 pm I wonder if there are ever gasps of horror or laughter at these unveilings. Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I’m just wondering if there’s ever been a real life “the Homer” style reveal at a new car launch. The excited applause quickly turning to and awkward silence.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
Cannot unsee those stupid wipers now that it was pointed out to me.
What on earth were they thinking/smoking?

I’ve seen comments on this but no pics/vids. Any links?RobYob wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 12:07 am Cannot unsee those stupid wipers now that it was pointed out to me.

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I assume it's referencing the wipers that park at the side of the screen and wipe 'inwards'.
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
Sounds very French/Italian!
It’s more aero (probably) - A350 does it too

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I think the problem is that they don't always do a good job of sweeping the whole screen, and they also look like they belong on a commercial vehicle.
Clearly, we need to send Hubnut over to do a wiper test. Triangle of Doom? Dribble of Disappointment? We must know!
Edit - apparently there's a CGI animation, they're just normal wipers, no fancy pantograph or 'bumpy' travel etc. So probably a nice big dirty patch at the top of the screen if the car ever gets driven (ha) in the rain (hahaha) making it look like it has a monobrow.

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I’m assuming the same issue as the cybertruck, in drizzle / occasional wipe the blade pushes the water down then goes back to park and the water it’s just pushed down then drifts up the screen because aero.
Unlike a normal park at the bottom setup where you swipe the water away then park at the bottom trapping the dregs below the blade

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
It's the exterior grab handle look that is so weird to me.
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
These days the ADAS camera is in the middle of the windscreen so this design of wiper won't wipe the area it looks through. Maybe it's not in the same place on the Luce.integrale_evo wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 5:33 am I’m assuming the same issue as the cybertruck, in drizzle / occasional wipe the blade pushes the water down then goes back to park and the water it’s just pushed down then drifts up the screen because aero.

There was some Peugeot or Vauxhall MPV a few years ago which had the same wipers, can't remember which. I do seem to recall they were unreliable.
Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
i3 had that style of wiper but they parked at the bottom. I never liked them because they also reminded me of commercial vehicles and some Vauxhalls.

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
W639 Vito was like that too. I’d always assumed it was cost saving so they didn’t need to engineer different LHD/RHD versions. Never actually bothered me though.Mito Man wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 8:52 am i3 had that style of wiper but they parked at the bottom. Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal
I don’t think it ever had a problem with leaving a dirty patch in the centre of the screen. Anyway on the E series stuff I’ve been in BMW never swapped them from LHD to RHD but it also never bothered me.
