London Curry Meet

Post by DeskJockey »

Speaking to @duncs500 we thought it would be worth reviving another forum tradition: eating curry and drinking beer.

We have a strict set of requirements for any participants, you must:
1) read this
2) be able to come on the day
3) eat food, at least daily
4) drink liquids, at least daily

If you can meet all the requirements you're welcome to join us! Gauging interest, it is likely to be a weekday and in London.

Can we have an initial show of hands (no rude gestures) to indicate interest?

Curry can be substituted if there's agreement or we can end up at somewhere like https://mercatometropolitano.com so everyone can get what they want and we'll grab a big table.

Same for me. Point 2) is vulnerable if we're talking about a weekday evening but I'll try my best.

Excellent!

Monday, Tuesday and Friday are the best days for me. First or second week of June work?

I'm down for this as long as I'm not working on a boat in Hamburg.

Well, if you were, you'd fall foul of 2) and therefore be ineligible to attend. So, let's hope that's not the case!

For some reason my work and social life is suddently very active in the first couple of weeks of June 😅 I've put down a few dates which should be fine.

Very much up for it if it's on a day I'm working in London, but those are pretty sparse at the moment.

What happened to 6 pints in The Brown Bear and then next door to The Empress a feed and homemade vodka chilli shots?

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I wouldn't be able to tell if you've changed in the intervening years.

I've been posting here and on previous iteration of the board for 20+ years now and I have absolutely no idea.
