New 911 - Live Now
GT3 Cabriolet?!
Re: New 911 - Live Now
I’ve just watched the CH vid - first one I’ve bothered to watch.
I agree with the “if you can - why not?” point - if it sells more cars. I’m sure Porsche would make a GT3 Macan (in both hard and soft top) if they could make a €.
It wouldn’t be my personal choice as I’ve never lusted after the wind in my hair. Just generally prefer hard tops. The end.
For something that’s not an issue at all though - and yeah it might be a smidge less stiff but you can barely tell…… they don’t half go on about it.

Am I the only one who thinks the 911 is totally unsuited to being made into a drop top? The proportions are all wrong.

I like big butts and I cannot lie.

Another great video!

It was when I started looking at the BMW individual colours on their configurator that I realised Porsche’s PTS is so overpriced. There are plenty of Porsche ones available on BMWs

Re: New 911 - Live Now
I don't mind the look of a cab on the 911 but just how well it suits the car seems to depend a lot on the colour and alloy choice.
I guess they kept going on about the stiffness of the chassis because that would be the number one thing the Internet experts would immediately point out as being the reason you would never see them buying one. Is scuttle shake and lack of rigidity in a drop-top compared to coupe still a thing these days?

When they do a Targa GT3, will you be placing your order Mike?

As much as I love a Targa, that drive in a GT3 has made me think its not the car for me after all.
Cheers,
