Had a bit of an Oscar’s weekend this weekend.

Watched One Battle After Another yesterday and Sinners toight.

One Battle After Another is the better movie in my opinion and deserved the Oscar (out of these two - I still need to watch the other nominees)

But I think DiCaprio put in a better performance than Michael B Jordan and was more deserving of the best Actor - just on my opinion. We’ll see how I feel after watching the others.

I’m not going to lie though, I did NOT expect to hear Vampires in 1930’a Mississippi singing ‘ The Rocky Road to Dublin’ 🤯😂

Hamnet

Powerful and profound. It's one to strap yourself in for, it's quite heavy emotionally, the acting is phenomenal, and the story is great. It's an excellent film, but you need be in the mood for it.

Loved it

One of the best films I've seen in a very long time
My youngest recommended this also - mrs mik and I are going to see it tonight at the Everyman in Glasgow - all couches. Never been before so looking forward to that experience also.

May not be the actual screen we are in, but you get the idea.

And proper legroom too, plus table service 8-) I do enjoy Everyman when I feel like making a trip to the cinema as expensive as possible  .

@mik that looks great - we have a Picture House in Brighton, similar thing

There's something very nice about a sofa, glass of wine, and some quality popcorn or a slice of homemade cake while you're watching a good film

Hope you enjoy the film and overall experience 👍

So it actually was the screen in the image above. Proper hot dog (as it should be for £9) and a menebrea brought to our couch. Fabulous. 8-)

Film was a bit cheesy in bits, but some awesome filmography and rumbling soundtrack. Gosling was very good in it.
